Stayed here 3 nights, used as a base for visiting Venice and islands.Ideally situated 2 mins walk from Vaporetto, then 10 mins to San Marco.Check- in was as swift as anywhere,we were asked our name, handed in passports which were photo'd,within a minute we were on our way to our room. The room was very warm, but it was freezing outside. We never got to grips with the air conditioning. The wall- mounted TV was completely disconnected, the first time I've had to wire up the telly in a hotel! There was a mini- bar but no bottle opener. The room was fine and everything worked in the bathroom. The buffet- style breakfast was good, sausage, eggs and bacon, and all the continental offerings.Yes,would certainly stay here the next time we visit this magical city.

The best thing that you can say about his hotel is that it's very well located, being just a couple of minutes' walk from the vaporetto stop.
We stayed for a long weekend in the first few days of December.
It's so much quieter to stay on the Lido, rather than the main Venice island.
Our room was on the top floor at the back, and was quiet. Nothing special, just basic, with an ensuite, but everything worked. No tea or coffee making equipment in the room. Bit of a view from the window.
Breakfast was the usual continental, with a half-hearted attempt to cater for the Brits, with solid lukewarm scrambled eggs, burnt bits of ham, and tiny frankfurter sausages.
It would be better if they left out the 'hot' food, and concentrated on providing a better continental breakfast. And considering all the lovely fruit we saw on stalls around the city, all we got was tinned fruit salad and peaches, and some green apples. Not really good enough. The two non-Italian waiters at breakfast needed to go on a customer service course, as they neither smiled nor spoke to anyone, and weren't even that efficient at clearing the tables.
We saw three male members of reception staff. Two were ok, but one wasn't and needed the same training as the waiters. I won't mention any names, but you will know him straight away when you meet him!
In December there is nothing to do on the island in the evening, and the hotel bar wasn't open, so early to bed when you've had dinner...
As I've said, the hotel is well located, and it's not too much trouble to get the vaporetto across to the main island for sightseeing.

Room tip: Top floor at the back is quiet.

Stayed here with my mother (Sep 16) and was a lovely little hotel. We wanted to see Venice but wanted somewhere away from the crowds to escape too when needed. Great location on the Lido and easy to get to Venice via the waterbus which is within walking distance from the hotel. And in the other direction there is a beautiful beach.
Breakfast wasn't anything special but was good enough to set you up for the day. I found all staff very friendly. Although one of them added me on facebook which I thought was a bit weird!

I loved the environment and the sunset view but the hotel service could be much better . The staffs didn't bother to give any information regarding mini bar and all so without consuming any drink we paid much more.

Excellent position just just a couple of minutes walk away from the vaporetto stop, plus plenty of restaraunts close by, supermarket right next door for bits and bobs if required.
Nice comfortable hotel, rooms adequate, would have liked tea/coffee making availability but for the money we paid it was really good value for Venice. Staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble, nice breakfast plenty of choice even catered for gluten free when requested. Some reviewers have said hotel needs updating but we found it was fine as it was. Plenty of nice big settees in reception, and as I have said it was comfy which added to the charm

Room tip: We had a room on the 1st floor at the front can't say we were disturbed by noise at all, don't know about other rooms.

The entrance of the place gives a perception of elegance and cordiality, but eventually the lack of quality becomes evident. There's a very low quality in the rooms in terms of comfort and cleaning. The bath is full of mould. The bed was super stiff that I had to ask the administrator to change the mattress. A night before they said the hotel was full so I had to put 3 duvets I found in the closet across the bed to help our backs to rest, but the pillows were flat and hard.... horrible night. Next day we could not enjoy the trip because we felt very tired. The breakfast is ok but horrible coffee... in the second day we prefered to skip the breakfast. Finally they changed the mattress for the second night and we could sleep better. Still very low comfort in pillows and bed... of course that also happens if the hotel prefers to buy metal boxes instead of a real bed.
I have to add that the man who I spoke with was very rude saying that in several years he has worked there he never received any complain about the mattress ( and I even was angry when I mentioned what I had to do with the duvets).... I really doubt no one mentioned it before because really that bed was more or less the same as sleeping in the floor. It's a shame because it is very well located and the firts impression was ok.... never again in this place.
