“Lovely hotel full of character!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

Stayed in May for three nights! Has a lovely old-fashioned glamour feel inside, beautiful courtyard for breakfast, pretty pastel exterior in the lovely island of Lido which is full of picturesque houses and flowers everywhere!

Rooms was basic but we got a great deal, was very clean and had lovely old fashioned shutter windows and was very quiet at night! Great power shower!

Breakfast had a lovely mix of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coissants etc! And the lady who served breakfast had a lovely happy personaility! :)

If you are considering staying in Lido, rather than Venice I highly recommend it! It is a short boat journey into Venice with boats running 24hours. Lido has more of a local feel and not as crazy busy! It is very picturesque with lovely cafes and restaurants! The beach is a must see - it is a great beach for sunbathing! The hotel is just a five minute walk from the 'Vaperetto' Boat station!

This hotel was a 10 minute walk from the docks. Most importantly it was clean and the staff were pleasant. We had a family room which was large, the only downside being that we had to bring our own travel cot. The breakfasts were sufficient with fresh croissants, cold meats and cereals. There was a small lift which was useful for our pram and luggage (separately) but I think it would possibly be too small for a large wheelchair. There were aspects of the decor that could do with updating, such as our shower leaking and some cracks in the bathroom glass shelf, but these were minor aspects as overall the cleanliness was excellent. A minimal amount of bed linen is provided as usual with Italian hotels. Wifi was three euros an hour or seven euros for twenty-four hours. You can hire bicycles to tour this flat island which I would consider in future. I would certainly stay again.

The hotel is located few minutes from the sea. Breakfast is very good and you can have a nice cup of coffee in the garden. Staff are good and helpful and the rooms are clean. I would recommend this hotel for those who prefer traditional rather than modern hotels.

This old hotel has quite an old charm, the rooms are big although with only simple equipment. There is a lovely courtyard and a huge breakfast room. The staff was extremely friendly, it felt like a family-run business from back in the days. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Lido vaporetto stop.

We booked a triple room. Got a suite. Hotel is about a 1km distance away from the Vaporetti terminal. Walkable if you don't have much luggage with you. The entrance doesn't have the name board as the name board seems to be from a side road & the gate is always closed. The hotel viw found on the internet is not the front view you see from the road when first approaching the hotel, after getting down from the vaporetti. It's an average hotel but very clean & comfortable. Although I requested for a room with a view There wasn't much of a view from the room. The windows were very old & needed a little bit of attention. Wi-fi is not free at this hotel. Breakfast was nothing much but was ok. Staff very friendly & helpful. At the price we paid this hotel was excellent.

I booked a double room for Byron Laguna inn for one night while visiting Venice. We arrived at Byron Laguna inn, but was sent to a different hotel (Byron Hotel) 300 meters down the road instead.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Byron Hotel was not a pleasant one. Upon checking-in, the concierge as reasonably friendly and polite until he told us that he had received two bookings from us for the same evening (somehow booked 9 days apart) This was not his fault as we booked our Hotel initially through Venere.com. but upon telling him that we had only made one booking he became quite rude and began to hurry us along to sign both of the documents for each room, without even listening to what it was that we had to say nor trying to rectify the situation whatsoever. All he seemed to care about at the time was the fact that he had received two orders and that was that. Not the appropriate service you are looking for from a Hotel concierge regardless of price nor star-rating.

After being treated like this all we really wanted to do was leave. It was upsetting and not at all accepted.

I guess the room was okay for the price we paid, but not for double the price which we ended up paying for the one room (since we according to the concierge had booked two rooms). Perhaps they should spend some money on paint for the walls and soap for the guests though.
