This was such a great find in Venice. On the isle of Lido, its a short ride back to mainland Venice. Its a comfortable, cozy, private, quiet, hotel on this memorable island. We loved Lido. The breakfast was great, the staff were super helpful, the room was modern, clean, and comfortable. A little noisy at night because its beside a much larger hotel but other than that, no complaints, we'd go back for sure.

This hotel is rated a 4 stars and it is not at the most it is a 3 stars. I have rented this hotel because it is a front ocean hotel and thinking we will have access to beach chairs and umbrella. No, because you have to pay to have chairs etc. but plus it was closed no chairs, not nothing. We have to walk a long time to find a place be opened to rent beach chairs and umbrella even if it was nice outside and we were in September where they charge you full season price. The breakfast was so so the personal during the day has limited knowing about Lido. The rooms need renovations the shower in the bath was ready to fall and the paints behind peeling.

Room Tip: We had a room with a view on the ocean, more expensive but no real view

This hotel was recommended by the company that put our Venice/ Florence trip together. We hadn't realised that Lido was a separate island from the main Venice centre . We booked a water taxi from the airport to the hotel which was fabulous . We got a taxi straight to the hotel from the Waterbus station.
It was a lovely day and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely quiet location by the beach. Our room had a sea view which was lovely. The beds were comfy and the room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was more than adequate with nice warm croissants and plenty of choice.
We bought a 3 day bus and Waterbus pass which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the Waterbus trip to and from Venice which went every 10mins. We either caught the bus at the end of the road from the hotel or we walked to the Waterbus . It all worked well
Although the hotel looks a little tired it suited us and we enjoyed coming back to the quiet after all the hustle and bustle in Venice . We found a restaurant nearby and there were others within walking distance.

Room Tip: The sea view room was very nice but did not have a balcony. We didn't see the other rooms.

pros: friendly staff, comfortable bed, convenient with all basic amenities and BEST LOCATION EVER. do yourself a favour and stay in Lido and travel to the tourist attractions during the day. it's so much quieter and nicer in Lido with access to beach and not to mention..every time you go to the tourist areas..it's a nice boat ride for you.

cons: super awkward washroom architecture - which of course they can't change now but at least they can provide a big enough curtain to avoid water splattering all over..getting the paper towel wet, the floors and everything, washroom was super tiny and uncomfortable. and the floors were not good..they weren't carpet, you feel like you're walking on some plastic matt sort of thing (so bring a pair of slippers for when you're in the hotel.

Room Tip: room with sea view and the balcony is best

There isn't anything terrible about this hotel, but they don't seem to try to make it anything beyond average. It's as if the expect no return business and therefore don't see the need to try to hard. Every request was met with shrugs and protests. The breakfast is put out just so they can say there is breakfast. Nothing to choose from and what there is isn't great. The Lido itself is a beautiful location so it's a shame they don't try a bit harder. I'd come back to the Lido, but not to his hotel.
