“Best place we have EVER stayed in!”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

From start to finish, I knew this was going to be a fabulous experience. Thank you Ben and Leonie for sharing this special place. Ben, you were charming and the perfect host, even though we arrived later than expected and then had a spot of trouble finding the right road. The view upon driving up to the property when we came over the rise was spectacular, and only got better when we walked through the door.

You have created something very personal, unique and luxurious here. The little touches like the cheese, fudge, ample breakfast provisions, the home-grown baby potatoes and making sure that we had the perfect bottle of wine (even though Shiraz is not a Tassie specialty) were very much appreciated. The amount of thought, planning and attention to detail with the high quality furniture, fittings, luxury features and decorations in the house, not to mention the awesome location, shows that this was a labour of love.

To say we enjoyed staying here would be an understatement, and we hope to be back again many times. Thanks again for your hospitality and for allowing us to savour this little piece of heaven.

After seeing the photos on the net and reading other reviews, all 3 of us still walked through the front door saying WOW! A well designed house with beautiful views of the ocean and countryside.
Floor to ceiling glass windows in both large queen sized bedrooms, also the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge as well as the separate spa room(another WOW).Absolutely everything has been well thought of for visitors needs. Another bonus was the wine, fudge, cheese & Biscuits and breakfast provisions.
The property also has 2 bathrooms with floor heating and large walk in showers, a full laundry if needed,Heat pumps and very comfortable beds. Perfect accommodation for any season.
Congratulations to Ben & Leonie on creating something very special here in Tassie.

This wonderful retreat is pure luxury. Four of us stayed here on our last night after circumnavigating Tasmania by motorcycle.
We arrived tired & sore & in need of a little TLC after a week on a bike seat! We got it here! Incredible attention to detail throughout the entire house. We loved the spa, the cheese & biscuits, the wine, the breakfast, the high quality linen, the different timbers used (and named) and most of all the incredible views!!!
Our only regret is that we could not stay for longer - the Spirit Of Tasmania beckoned us.
We will return again and stay 3 or 4 nights - I cant wait to go back.
We highly recommend it to anyone wanting something very special.
Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Room Tip: Great views from either bedroom!

Wow indeed. 4 of us stayed here over the Christmas period in this amazing property. Everything is provided to make your stay memorable. The views are stunning and the house is modern and luxurious. I contacted Leonie several times in the lead up to our stay and she couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast produce that is provided upon arrival is very generouse and the bacon alone is worth paying this place a visit. I will miss this place but feel privalaged to have memories that will last a lifetime. Well done

Seriously...wow, was the word that the three of us kept saying when we walked into this amazing house, with uninterrupted views of the north coast of Tassie. As the house is quite isolated, Leonie the owner, met us on the main highway and we followed her to this special place. She showed us around and is rightly proud of what has been created here. Even though the house is isolated, it is close enough to use as a base for exploring the north/central part of Tasmania. Don't make the mistake we made and only stay for the one night. A 2/3 night stay is a must. Stylish and modern through out, luxurious linen, and a kitchen stocked with eggs, bacon, juice, a choice of cereals, teas, real coffee and a couple of bottles of wine, all included in the price. Thank you Leonie and family for a memorable stay.
