“Beautiful”

These falls are in the downtown area and there is ample parking on the south side. Also, the best views by far are on the south side. There are walking paths of about 6 miles around the river and falls area..Although not as tall as Niagara, these falls are just as beautiful because you can see them tumbling over rocks in different formations for quite a great distance and you can see them from up close. This is a MUST see.

“Snake River Greenbelt”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

Idaho Falls has an extensive greenbelt, or riverbelt, along miles of the Snake River that flows through the center of the city. It is maintained by the City of Idaho Falls. Just did a quick stop here- it's a relaxing view. Nice spot to have lunch or a little break from everything.

“Wonderful way to spend a family afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

The green belt around the river is a wonderful stretch of path that is available for all to enjoy the scenery. Circling the Snake River, which runs right through the town, visitors can stop and read about the hydro-electric power plant, which is why the Falls were built and now generates 50% of the town's power!

“Amazing view”

Stop at this park in Idaho Falls it goes for 14 mile greenbelt. The falls are amazing and beautiful to photo. This is our second time thru here and make it a point to come this way when we go to Yellowstone National Park. I recommend the stop.

“Love it! Simple and pleasant.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

What a nice walk this is to see so much of Idaho Falls. I enjoyed walking my dog around the greenbelt. There are falls downriver and a Vietnam memorial park upriver. The have done well to maintain it. Very nice sculptures up and down and they have planted numerous exotic trees with plaques telling you what kind they are. Charming! Maybe not so much in winter, I don't know. :)
