Description: The Kneadery has been locals' and visitors' favorite spot for breakfast and lunch for nearly 40 years. Established in 1974, The Kneadery combines wholesome fresh food with a rustic Idaho atmosphere. Whether you're headed out for a day of hiking, or spent the morning skiing the slopes, you'll want to fuel up with a wholesome nutritious meal at The Kneadery. All meals start with the freshest ingredients-locally baked organic breads, farm fresh, cage-free eggs, seasonal fruit and top quality meats. From the huge omelets and pancakes, to the fresh salads and burgers, there's something for everyone. Great food is just the beginning at The Kneadery. Service with a smile and the authentic decor complete the package. Owners Duffy and Sheila Witmer have been collecting the Western artwork that fills The Kneadery and The Pioneer Saloon for decades. Come see why so many have made The Kneadery, the best breakfast and lunch in town since 1974.

On a recent ski trip to Sun Valley we had breakfast twice at the Kneadery. If you have time and your staying in the town of Ketchum check this place out. It has a great breakfast menu and with the roaring fire was cozy and warm. The atmosphere is comfortable and as with a lot of restauarants in ketchum during peak times you may have to wait. The lunch menu looked good as well. I would recommend this restaurant.

We checked out the Kneadery based on the great reviews. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was a tad bit slow. We aren't big coffee drinkers but when we go out to breakfast we have two to three at the most. We were hard pressed to find the waitress to bring us more coffee. She was friendly but not as attentive as we have had in the past at other breakfast places. It was busy but not over whelming-several open tables. Overall I thought it was good-my husband said he would not go back. I asked him why and he said because he thought it was expensive for breakfast and he would have preferred to have hash browns and not shredded potatoes. I had blueberry pancakes (delicious) and eggs with sausage. He had an omelete with shreded potatoes and toast. We split our meals and I thought his was good too.

Wonderful for families. Good omelets and salads. Like the Michael's in particular. Omelet Breakfast all day! Service can be a little crazy when it's busy, but always friendly.

Lively atmosphere, fun decor, good service and consistently delicious food! The Veggie Benedict was outstanding, with spinach, tomatoes and avocado. Just the right amount of hollandaise sauce, without being overpowering or too rich. The hash browns are perfect; not greasy nor heavy. I asked the waitress if they shred their own potatoes. She said they come from Simplot, and are fried in olive oil. The berry jam tasted home made (even though it isn't). I'm not typically a huge fan of jams, but theirs is memorable. My husband commented on how tasty his coffee was, so I had to taste it -- very good! As always, they have delectable sweet treats, which are complimentary. Yummy brownies, with a touch of crunch (chocolate chips), to enjoy on the way out. Don't be put off if you have to wait for a table. They are skilled at turning tables quickly. It's worth the wait, if you happen to hit it when the tables are full.

The twenty minute wait is well worth it. Staff is friendly and the roaring fire is welcoming. Choose from one of many Benedict's and you won't be disappointed. Pick the delicious wheat bread--a meal of its own!
