This will be my 23rd year rafting the mighty Locsha River with ROW and the River Dance Lodge. For whitewater enthusiasts I would put the Locsha up against any 1 day trip in the country. 30 named rapids some strong 4s in a one day float. I have brought between 20 and 90 business clients down each trip over the years and had nothing but excellent times. The reason it is so epic is due to the staff of ROW Adventures. Amazing individuals that are concerned about every detail. Extremely safety conscious and accommodating. In addition they are some of the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet. That extends to their inn keeping skills at the beautiful River Dance Lodge. In my opinion the best lodging on either the Locsha or Clearwater Rivers. Top drawer log cabins with fireplaces and hot tubs. Or try the Glamping tents a unique setting. You don't have to raft to enjoy River Dance. The spot makes an excellent base for exploring the awesome country. Very good Cutthroat fishing and natural hotsprings. I could go on but ROW can do a better job lining you out. Bottom line if you're looking for an adventure you can't go wrong with ROW and River Dance.

We stayed at the multi bedroom cabin when we took the white water rafting trip down the Lochsa river. The cabins are beautiful. It included a kitchen, living area, porch and hot tub. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The rafting is top rate. The guides are professional, interesting and skilled. The river gave me the biggest adrenaline rush with all the rapids and waves. We rafted this river in 2012 and typically don't repeat trips, but we had to come back with our nephew. The rafting trip includes a delicious lunch and the staff is very accomodating to dietary requests. I highly recommend this lodge and rafting trip.

Room Tip: They all all good cabins.

I took a leadership team to River Dance and they were very accommodating. We had a great day of rafting, excellent food, top-notch cabins, and a ton of fun around the camp fire each night. The team provided the restaurant for our meeting and stocked our cabin fridges with our adult beverages of choice. The team is still talking about it 11 months later.

If I have to search for anything for this lodge to improve it is the internet capacity. But if you're coming to this part of the country, that should be the last thing on your mind.

We originally had reserved just a pitch-your-own-tent spot, but my husband and I wanted to try the glamping tents. We call three times in the three days preceding our arrival to see if we could switch to a glamping tent. Always got their answering machine. Left our number, but no one ever called back. Luckily, they had one available when we got there.

The glamping idea is great, but this place needs to put in a bit more effort. The double bed was two singles pushed together. The compost toilet "outhouse" was too small to comfortably shut the door and I'm a small woman. I ended up not bothering to shut it if no one was around.

There was a horrible smell in front of the tent next to us. We got occassional whiffs of it, but were over whelmed by it if we walked that way. Never could figure out what it was. Smelled like garbage, but their garbage cans were empty and clean.

We had been led to believe there would be a place we could fire up our Coleman for cooking with water, but there was only a hose for all the campspots to share.

There was no customer service to speak of. They just handed us our key. We only stayed one night.

We recently returned to the Texas heat after 4 amazing days at Riverdance Lodge. Everything was wonderful. The location was beautiful, food was excellent, and the glamping tent was a great experience. But, it was the staff most of all that made our stay so memorable. They truly are committed to making sure guests feel welcome and are treated as members of the Riverdance extended family.

Along with three friends, I just returned home to Maryland after a fabulous, peaceful vacation at River Dance Lodge. I can't say enough about the staff, the accommodations, the food...it was all superb. The staff was so much fun that I was sad to leave them behind. Their friendliness was so genuine and their attention to detail so keen that I have to think the screening process for employment must be very rigorous. We enjoyed two trips out on the river for kayaking, went on a guided hike, and on the recommendation of Terra and Sienna, took a drive to the beautiful waterfall along the Selway River. In spite of the activity, we’re all sure we gained some weight since it was hard to resist the delicious food prepared by John. On our final night, we enjoyed a campfire, all the fixings for s’mores, and some music with Brice, Ellen, Sienna, and Terra. The 3 bedroom cabin in which we stayed was idyllic. We had comfortable beds, plenty of seating in the living room, a covered porch with a great view of the Middle Fork of the Clark River, and plenty of room for our “stuff”. Since the mornings were a bit cool, we were even able to put the hot tub to use then. There was not a thing that we could have asked for beyond what was provided for us. Since coming home, I have told everyone about how marvelous the trip was and can't wait to get back to Syringa or to another ROW adventure.
