Owner description: Heated, Olympic sized 50 meter swimming pool with ten, seven and five meter diving platforms as well as three and one meter spring boards. Curly slides for the ride of your life or the new speed slides shoot you down at over 35 miles per hour. Lots of grass space for picnicking or you can purchase food at the on-site grill. Outdoor pool is open the summer months only. the Indoor Aquatic Center is open all year with a poolside climbing wall, springboards and basketball hoops. Heated floors throughout the dressing rooms provide warmth and comfort for all swimmers. Coming in winter of 2013 is an indoor kiddie play area with all the fun a zero depth splash and play area can provide. Year round fun coupled with access to the World Famous Hot Pools make this a must see and do destination.

The indoor pool has a fantastic area for babie and toddlers. The water is bathtub warm and the babies love it! The family changing rooms are kept at a nice temperature for kids. The showers are warm and there's plenty of room. They have lockers for your stuff. We always bring a picnic. There's tables and chairs available. NICE place!

“Spring Break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

This was our first visit to the swimming complex. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. We are planning on returning during the summer with a large group and she spent time recommending things for us to do and places to camp.

The locker room, showers, and bathrooms were very clean and spacious.

The kids loved the kiddie pool area. I lost track of how many times we stood under the big bucket of water.

The rock wall and basketball hoops were a hit with our teenagers.

My favorite part was the temperature of the water. It was perfect and we spent hours enjoying the indoor area of the complex.

“Love!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

I always LOVE going to visit Lava Hot Springs! The swimming pool is great, in the summers there is so much to do in the outside area, and the new kiddie pool is wonderful because it is indoors, so you can get the little ones out of the sun. The slides are always so much fun, as are the diving platforms! Everyone at the pool always seems so happy to see me, and so welcoming. Management is obviously phenomenal, whoever is in charge of the swimming pool and hot pools is doing an amazing job! It's one of my favorite places to visit!

“Really crowded and cold”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013

We paid $24 dollars to get in to the pool and stayed for probably 20 minutes. The pool was so crowded that you could hardly move. Also the water in the water slides was so cold that I could only stand to use one slide once. I mean come on, I came to a hot springs, why all the cold water?

LavaHotSprings, Manager at Olympic Swimming Complex, responded to this review, 16 August 2013
Dear David,

Sorry to hear that you found the water too cool for your liking. The water for the slides is drawn directly from the 50 meter pool and is kept at 86-87 degrees. Any warmer than that and it is too warm for recreational swimming especially during the hot summer months. The hot pools located at 430 E. Main Street have plenty of heat for you, although they are soaking pools only. Thanks for taking the time to comment on your visit.

Sincerely,
Mark Lowe
