Just rode up for a overnight stay, loved the room. Great for the money, if you are expecting a Crowne Plaza or Hyatt, you should not be coming to Lava to begin with...... Staff was great, we got stuck for an extra day because of rain and they found us another room in the hotel, in the motorcourt and just as nice. GREAT BIG tubs in rooms and that was the hi-lite, everyone else had to walk down the street for the hot springs, we had ours in-room.......Loved the art themed rooms, not expected in Lava but appreciated for sure.......

Not one complaint, price was right and room was nice for Lava, will be back no doubt.

Room Tip: All rooms are great............

Great place to stay that's close the the springs. Most rooms have been renovated and are really nice. Staff is great - very nice and accommodating! I have stayed in the courtside rooms and the hotel itself and been very happy wherever I ended up. Love this place! Only place I stay when I spend time in Lava Hot Springs, usually at least once a year.

This was our third year in a row to stay at Home Hotel in Lava Hot Springs, ID. My husband is a cyclist and Lava is half way for his trek. So, based on the price and the lovely accommodations, this is where we have stayed. This place is so fun. It is a beautiful, nostalgic hotel that you can relax at and enjoy your stay. I am not sure why it pulls up as a “Bed and Breakfast” on reservation websites. Maybe the B & B is bed and beverage – they don't serve breakfast but have a nice coffee, tea and soda assortment available in the front lobby. The lady that checked us in is so accommodating and gracious. - I think her name was Jenny. The Home Hotel is a clean, quiet, old refurbished hotel. The rooms on the top floor are the nicest. The bathrooms are beautifully tiled and the rooms have a lovely chenille bedspread, large flat screen TVwith adequate cable channels and the most unique old fashioned radiator in the corner and a little refrigerator – no microwave. The rooms have an interesting mix of décor and art work- each one from a different artist. The rooms are immaculately clean and the bathrooms have lovely and abundant designer towels, little aromatic lotions, soaps and shampoos. It is a fun hotel to stay at and I would recommend staying here! My only complaint is the hotel is on the highway and there is a train railway that runs quite often right next to it - just a tad noisy. Bring your ear plugs - But LOVE IT !

Thank you for the great review! We are glad you choose the Home Hotel in Lava Hot Springs!

I just wanted to explain that the reason you see us under the B&B category on TripAdvisor is that TripAdvisor groups B&Bs and "Inns" together. We are an "Inn" according to TripAdvisor's criteria (has to do with the number of hours the lobby has service).

We look forward to your next visit and hope to see you again, soon! Sincerely, Scott Pearhill, Owner.

This hotel is great place to stay in Lava Hot Springs. The rooms have been redone and are very clean. The location is excellent as it is steps from the river for access to tubing activities. Also, only steps to the hot pools. Location is so convenient that we didn't use our car until we left town. The management was very helpful and professional. We will stay here again when in Lava!

Beautiful historic building that has very clean, modernized rooms. Heavenly beds. Pillows to spare! Sparkling cider and chocolate bars a nice touch for a romantic get away. Definitely recommend to anyone.

This was a great place to stay! It was right in the center of the little town of Lava Hot Springs...an easy stroll along the creek.
The people were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the old building. The rooms had been remodeled so ours was very pleasant, modern and comfortable with a tub for two with hot mineral water. VERY nicely decorated in the period of the hotel and very comfortable bed

Room Tip: We liked the "Vincent" room.

This was our first time to Lava Hot Springs & The Home Hotel was recommended not only by a good friend but by Sunset Magazine two years ago. We thought it was outstanding. ..the rooms were named after artists & we stayed in the Picasso room. Great bed, huge soaking tub with mineral water, friendly helpful staff. Perfect location as we could walk to the public hot springs & downtown shops & restaurants. We look forward to returning!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the morning sun on the east side.
