The campground is well-kept, scenic and you will see deer, fox and lots of birds. Take the time to enjoy the beach on Payette Lake.

“Gorgeous park in McCall”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

I have fond memories of visiting and hiking in Ponderosa State Park as a child. We recently decided to take a day trip up to the park to let the kids run around. What a wonderful idea. The entry fee if you do not have the Idaho Parks Passport is $5. There is a beautiful visitors' center to the left upon entering the park. There are also very clean bathroom facilities and a covered picnic area (that is usually reserved).

There are miles of trails of various difficulty, beautiful views and scenery.

If you are in the area, Ponderosa State Park is a must-see.

“Great camping spot”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

What a nice campground! Unlimited showers included in camp fee. Restrooms were clean. Campsites had nice picnic tables and water at each site. Nice tent pad too. Registration was easy and very helpful. Stay here if you get the chance.
