spent the weekend 1/2014 loved condo overlooking the lake the onsite restaurant was a different story we had a 7 pm reservation so got the baked brie for an app in our room not bad excited for dinner got to our table and ordered a soup or salad and entrée the parsnip soup was very good and entrée beef ok but what was not appreciated was the feeling that I was at a fast food restaurant really rushed through service the waiter did not know what customer service was we went to the bar and ordered the fabulous butterscotch pot de crème the person there was much more pleasant than the waiter in the morning the man at continental breakfast was a very pleasant helpful gentleman

We are glad your food experience and Hotel stay was more positive than your service experience and must apologize that you felt the service at Rupert's was rushed and not attentive. We always hope that our guests feel welcome to stay as long as they wish, so again, we apologize for the rush! You are welcome to communicate with our staff at any point if we are going too fast or even too slow...we are always trying to improve and sometimes we make mistakes. We do hope that you will give us a chance to look after you in the future!

Finally made to Ruperts. Wonder now why I waited so long. Seven members our family arrived at the appointed hour of our reservation and our table was ready.. After being seated and offered drinks (they have a very good draft beer selection) we were served hot bread and complimentary appetizers - fritters and meatballs. We ordered two appetizers as well... the prosciutto and baked brie. Both were excellent . The entrees ranged from salmon, buffalo, steak, and fillet. All were quite good. That soup and salad were excellent also. We were even served a second basket of hot bread. We ordered four deserts. All were very good. Service was very attentive. In short, a first class meal from start to finish.

My fiancee called and spoke with the manager the week before our reservation. He explained that he planned to propose on New Year's Eve and asked for some special touches to our experience. The entire staff went out of their way to make this a memorable eve. Oh, and the halibut was fabulous as was the steak! Thanks everyone for a special night.

I've dined at Rupert's every time I'm through McCall, summer and winter, because its some of the best dining in Idaho. This time, I had the duck with a risotto of squash. I usually hate squash, but not this time. A truly outstanding dish served carefully by one of the best servers I've ever had. Rupert's has a good wine list, although not too deep. If you go in the summer, dine outside with a super view of Payette Lake. If in the winter, request by the windows for a similar view. Dining at Rupert's is a good reason to go to McCall even if you don't do anything else.

While passing through McCall we had drinks and appetizer at Rupert’s, the Meatballs were delicious and the service was good. It is a bit on the pricey side, but we know that going in. We had a nice view of the lake and it seems most tables would have a view as well. It is not very intimate so if you are looking for privacy or romance this may not be the place for you as we could hear several conversations around us as well as the tab le next to us repeatedly stopped their conversation and turned to listen to ours, part of the reason we did not stay for dinner.
