We went to Rupert's with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Rupert's was busy and we were seated in a room adjacent to the dining room. The room was not remarkable and needed a little punch. The service was a little slow, but the wait staff was very nice. The menu was somewhat limited. I ordered the rainbow trout and it was a little dry, but good. Some of our friends ordered duck breast and lamb chops and they really liked their entry. My wife had the shrimp scampi and it didn't have much flavor. The caesar salad and beet salads were excellent and everyone in our group loved their deserts. I had the bailey's creme broule and it was a good as it gets. In the summer time Rupert's also serves on the patio and you have one of the most beautiful views of Payette lake and the surrounding mountains, one of the most beautiful views in the world.

Rupert's is a classy restaurant, reminiscent of the top restaurants in Sun Valley or Vail - and other ski towns. We had dinner on a Monday evening in mid February. I had the chef's special of leaky soup, an entrée of tenderloin tenders wrapped in bacon accompanied by green beans and mashed potatoes, finished with a chocolate mousse. The helpings were generous and all were well prepared. The service was excellent and the ambiance pleasant. There we perhaps another 16 dinners so it was quiet (my date explained that at times the noise can be distracting on busy nights). But I rate this the best of McCall.

We are glad your food experience and Hotel stay was more positive than your service experience and must apologize that you felt the service at Rupert's was rushed and not attentive. We always hope that our guests feel welcome to stay as long as they wish, so again, we apologize for the rush! You are welcome to communicate with our staff at any point if we are going too fast or even too slow...we are always trying to improve and sometimes we make mistakes.
