From the moment we were greeted at the door by owner Chris until dinner ended, we were made to feel like family/friends. What gracious hospitality!

The food we ordered was well prepared and tasty. Two in our group ordered the special...lamb shank which was prepared in a red wine sauce; one ordered beef medalions; and one halibut. We also enjoyed the croquetas....and shared 2 delicious desserts.

Since the meals are quite large, we all took some home with us. As our leftovers were being prepared to travel, the owner offered us soup to take home too as they had more leftover than planned. Each of us left with a quart of soup to enjoy also!

Everyone is treated like an old friend from the minute you enter the door. The owner is delightful, makes you feel immediately welcome, explains her family history and give good background about Basque food. Apparently it's not all about the lamb-traditionally fish was a big part of the diet. The price of dinner includes choice of soup, salad, entree, and we also ordered what turned out to be enormous desserts. Big meals. I requested a taste of the lamb stew and got a brimming cupful, gratis. We ordered the daily special, a white fish in an interesting sauce, also sliced leg of lamb in a red wine sauce. The vegetables which come with are delicious little roasted potatoes and wonderful grilled chile peppers. We can believe that the chef spends much time on his sauces-they are complex and deeply flavored. As much as we enjoyed everything, we found the food a little heavy and, for me, a spicy food lover, flavorful but a mite bland. The desserts were extremely sweet. We loved the place, the owner, the staff. We admired and enjoyed the food, but more as a novelty than something we'd eat frequently.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a fellow traveler! The restaurant is in a home and it is small and cozy! The staff is very inviting and friendly. They want you to have a good time and take your time!
I had a appetizer of the sauteed mushrooms, they are wonderful, garlicky and buttery! I had the lamb for dinner and it was tender and delicious!
They are not cheap, but the food is great and a good value. MAKE A RESERVATION as this place fills up fast and they do not hurry anyone!

Small and cozy little place with great food. Steaks, lamb or seafood all really good. My wife loves the scallops, has them every time and the halibut with the lobster sauce is great. Make your reservation early, they book quickly as they usually have large groups and it's a small place but worth the wait for great food and even better service!

Staff will make it a memorable evening. Week-ends are very busy. Food was way above average. Lots of Lamb which everyone seemed to enjoy - I am not a lamb person so had the seafood special - outstanding. In Meridian or Boise - put this on your list as must.
