To celebrate the graduation of our daughter, we chanced upon Nectar!

We started with their dinner sized Mac and Cheese (Cougar Gold) and the evening's Special, which was a Cioppino as appetizers for the table of five. Rich and flavorful was the consensus and our expectations were elevated!

We also sampled the regional wines, Clearwater Canyon Carmenere from nearby Lewiston, Idaho as well as Abeja from Walla Walla, Washington...extraordinary reds!

Salad kept pace as their Caesar, Frisee (with apples, hazelnuts, chevre and bacon), and Nectar (mixed greens, red onion, blue cheese and pinenuts) were prepared in the very freshest and appetizing style.

Supper, as they call it, featured an order of Spring Pea Pasta (spaghetti, peas, asparagus, white-wine cream, basil and parmesan), Idaho Trout (pan-seared with Forbidden rice, green beans, almonds and brown butter), Filet Mignon (fingerling potatoes, broccolini and bordelaise), and two orders of Lamb Chops (served in a lollipop format with Israeli couscous, broccolini and lemon. Everything was succulent, well seasoned, and cooked to temperature.

We had little room for dessert, but forced ourselves to sample the Apple Tart with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream...delectable!

Definitely worth finding if you're ever out that way! Worth the drive, if you're not!

Went for a business dinner on a trip to Moscow. Excellent food, great white wine flight. Found a new favorite bottle to buy!

I had the trout with brown butter rice and green beans, and an excellent salad. Tempted by dessert but were were too full by the end of our meal. Will be back on our next trip to Moscow.

Nectar is a great place for a quiet dinner with your date or spouse, or a fun evening with friends. The menu offers daily specials that are always superb, often using locally sourced ingredients. House staples include homey fair such as Cougar Gold Mac and Cheese, Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, and the best hand-ground beef burger I've ever tasted. Don't let the names fool you; these items are deliciously different and you will leave your tummy and your mouth satisfied. I also love the salads with fresh roasted beets and goat cheese, and the cheese plate with fresh honeycomb. Yum! The wine list is fairly extensive and carefully chosen by the owners. Wine flights are available daily and change weekly. Be sure to save room for dessert!

I went to the Nectar after hearing it was a nice place. The Nectar does offer some interesting meal choices. However, everything is very expensive; Nothing is served with the entree (such as bread or rolls); There is no kids menu; and the water that is served is lukewarm. If you want cold water, such as what other restaurants serve, you have to ask for ice. My family and I will NOT go back. Not worth the money.

Great local food, friendly wait staff, and a fine wine selection. I usually have a Nectar salad, and steamed clams. If really hungry, their fish is allways good.
