To celebrate the graduation of our daughter, we chanced upon Nectar!
We started with their dinner sized Mac and Cheese (Cougar Gold) and the evening's Special, which was a Cioppino as appetizers for the table of five. Rich and flavorful was the consensus and our expectations were elevated!
We also sampled the regional wines, Clearwater Canyon Carmenere from nearby Lewiston, Idaho as well as Abeja from Walla Walla, Washington...extraordinary reds!
Salad kept pace as their Caesar, Frisee (with apples, hazelnuts, chevre and bacon), and Nectar (mixed greens, red onion, blue cheese and pinenuts) were prepared in the very freshest and appetizing style.
Supper, as they call it, featured an order of Spring Pea Pasta (spaghetti, peas, asparagus, white-wine cream, basil and parmesan), Idaho Trout (pan-seared with Forbidden rice, green beans, almonds and brown butter), Filet Mignon (fingerling potatoes, broccolini and bordelaise), and two orders of Lamb Chops (served in a lollipop format with Israeli couscous, broccolini and lemon. Everything was succulent, well seasoned, and cooked to temperature.
We had little room for dessert, but forced ourselves to sample the Apple Tart with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream...delectable!
Definitely worth finding if you're ever out that way! Worth the drive, if you're not!
