If you are stuck in town and unable to make it out for some real hiking, this is a pleasant place to wander for half an hour or so.

“Great Place for a picnic dinner”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

The arboretum is really nice and has a great view of the Palouse, but pet are not allowed. We were there when school was not in session so we had the place to ourselves.

“Fairly simple arboretum”
Reviewed 18 July 2013

First of all, it's difficult (impossible) to find a place to park that is not reserved or requires a permit - the signs say everyday all year.

Lots of crab apple trees and hostas and a few other plants - not very much variety.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

Great place for family portraits or just a serene walk with a loved one or family. I enjoy how the garden is divided into continents and the types of trees/plants one might find on that continent.

“A gem in the city”
Reviewed 14 April 2013

We spent about an hour walking the main path through the botanical garden. We enjoyed it because there were so many varieties of each tree and bush, and all were well-marked. The layout is according to geographic region (Europe, Asia, etc), which makes it even better and more interesting.
