2 nights away. Perfect little cottage. Not the biggest in the world but had what you needed. Comfy and suited our needs. Dinner in the pub was included (on our deal) and have got to say the food is fantastic, eat in the pub or the attached restaurant. Dog friendly to boot. A great little break with friendly hosts. Shall return.

Heard it was good so booked a TWIN room for 2 nights, on arrival we got given a key and went across to the room and it was terrible you open the door and walk into a small ground floor area that contains a stove, a fold down table. a tv and a small shower and toilet, also a steep flight of stairs leading to a landing with a DOUBLE bed and very little room to move around.
It was disgusting and had a unpleasant odour. I was so annoyed that I felt like having a strong conversation with the owners however Reception was in the middle of a very busy Bar and I have never caused a scene in a hotel I prefer to have a quiet word which in this case would have been impossible. So we left the key in the room and emailed the Management with the problems (they never replied). I have been told the food is good but I know the accommodation is beyond belief so I ended up at a Premier Inn which was fantastic.

Room Tip: I would suggest find another Hotel

What an amazing place this is, i stopped here for one night as a groupon offer, 7th january.
The cottages are absolutley perfect, the pub is so welcoming, and the food is the tastiest food ive eaten in a very long time.staff and all the regulars at the pub are so friendly and polite, and being dog friendly is an added bonus.
This business is a credit to the town, please do not listen to the bad feedback here, my experience was faultless.
Cannot wait to come back again.
Thankyou so much

I have called to the Pendle four times in recent months, its location is wonderful, truly rural.

We found the food was good and so was the staff, particularly Stewart who was very helpful, even the locals in the pub section were friendly, recognising you when you went in more than once.

On one occasion there was a 'mature' women behind the bar who was rather 'grumpy', a native of the village said she was the owner, perhaps she should read the reviews and take notice of her staff.

This is a fantastic country pub, but when we got to our room/apartment, it was like a 1970's bed sit hard flakey plastic settee, stained carpets, smell of cig smoke and DOGS. We turned round and drove 78 miles back home rather than stop here.
Shame the beer and food looked very good.

Room Tip: Sorry could not take the sleep quality mark off, to choose a good room - find some other place to st...

Spent 2 nights here with a deal from deal monster, couldn't fault it really, staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was lovely and plenty of choice. The lodge was basic but warm and had everything you needed. The area for walking was enjoyable, a lovely experience, would
