“Great hotel right off the interstate.”
Reviewed 2 June 2013 via mobile

wonderful bed, pillows kind of dinky but i believe you can ask for more (most hotels do that). lots of room. extended shower curtain. mini fridge. enormous facility. great indoor pool that goes from 3 ft. to 8 ft.! plus small sauna. not available after 10:00 so no late night swimming. breakfast was so-so. one big complaint: the coffee was not good. only tasted slightly better than coffee on a cruise ship (which is terrible, if you've never been). don't let the breakfast and coffee hold you back, there is a perkins across the street and a gas station next door. it is a really nice hotel. check in/ out very easy.

The rooms of the hotel were quite dated and in need of modernization. Although clean, it was like going back in time. The bed's mattress was acceptable but the pillows were not very good. The bathroom was fine (and tidy). Unfortunately, the restaurant that's part of the hotel was open during a very narrow window of time. The breakfast buffet was good for the price except for the powdered eggs that were served.

The Red Lion of Pocatello was a great place to stay. There is a lovely indoor pool as well as a convention center. Our room included a better than average buffet breakfast. The room amenities included a refrigerator, microwave, two queen sized beds and the charge was only $105.00 with taxes included. The hotel is also pet friendly and is located off Interstate 15 but the rooms are quiet. It is also a non-smoking hotel. We would stay again and definitely recommend it to those who might be traveling through Pocatello.

We reserved our rooms back in November. Our party was placed all over the hotel. The check in was 35 minutes and the check in person was awful. While getting ready to go to dinner two young kids walked into our room, seems like the desk clerk forgot to assign the room to us and put someone else in our room. When I contacted the front desk their response was "oops". When we came back from dinner our room keys wouldn't work so off to the front desk we went to stand in line for 20 minutes to the same unfriendly clerk. Our keys never worked to the outside doors and our room smelt like mold. We'll never stay at that Red Lion again.

Thank you for providing your feedback on your recent stay with us. We take all customer issues very seriously. I'm sorry to hear our front office staff did not handle your issue with professionalism. While mistakes can be made, it is contingent upon us to recognize them and resolve them as quickly as possible. Clearly we did not do so in this instance. Please accept my apologies and I hope if you us a chance to make it up to you on your next stay.

We arrived at this place at 8:30 PM and were advised the cafe was open until 9. We immediately we to the cafe to order and then waited until 9:50 PM before we cancelled our order. The next morning we went to the cafe (breakfast included) and there we no scrambled eggs. Others asked for eggs and were advised they were on their way. 20 minutes later we left. The room was clean but the bed old. I think I would try the Best Western next time.

The room was clean and located away from the pool, so it was quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed in the breakfast. We were there slightly before 9 a.m. and there was no bacon, just a few potatoes, and the coffee ran out. I understand there was some kind of large group event, but I expected the kitchen to keep the breakfast items hot and available. The breakfast staff seemed indifferent. I had to find someone and ask if she wanted the tickets showing that we had paid.

The front desk staff was friendly, and I would stay here again. I might just skip the breakfast and head across the street to the Perkins Restaurant.

Room Tip: The rooms on the side away from the interstate are quieter.

Booked on priceline, location was good it was right off the interstate. The room didn't have a fridge or microwave but had an old school tv. Tried to take a shower but the tub needed a major rinsing of course tub would not drain so all the dirt/hair/particles and whatever else just floated. Tried to call the front desk but both phones in the room didn't work so had to use my cell phone to call the hotel, person at the front desk said would call me back and try to get someone to fix it then just hung up on me. By the way it was 10:30 pm and I have a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old. Someone knocked about 30 mins later to clean tub but was still full of water so said there was nothing they can do and to go to the front desk in the morning to talk to the manager. Had a 16 hr drive ahead of us so we just brushed our teeth and left. At check out the manager said he was notified but since I booked on priceline, there was nothing he could do.
