Arlo's couldn't be in a better location - right in the heart of downtown Sandpoint! Easy walking distance to a music or theater performance at the Panida Theater, just down the street. The staff goes out of their way to be cheerful and accomodating and it's nice to still see a family owned and run little Italian restaurant. The food is great for the price - it's not high-end gourmet but it is delicious nevertheless. They have a wonderful deck for summer dining and their menu includes gluten-free options! Their chocolate mousse pie is fantastic!!

When you eat at Italian chain restaurants often enough you forget what genuine Italian Family style dining is really like. We were reminded tonight when we ate at Arlo's on Christmas eve. It was really an enjoyable meal. The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a good dining experience . A minor error in a bread order( no butter was ordered) they went out of their way to make sure we were happy, and we were. the meal began with antipasta, and a nice, reasonably priced bottle of wine. We followed this with a spinach salad , and a little more wine, then the main course. I had veal parmesan and my wife the chicken picatta. both were excellent. When offered desert ther was simply no room. this was a really great meal, served excellently on red and white checked table cloths, with Fran and Dino singing to us as we ate. Give it a try you will like it.

We were looking for a nice place to eat in Sandpoint, Idaho that was quiet and comfortable. When we smelled the sauce from the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, we were sold. Even though we did not have reservations, we were seated on the patio and it was a lovely evening to eat outside. The service was very good, even though they were short handed. The drinks were great and the food was the best I had on our 2 week trip. Outstanding! I wish I was closer so I could eat there more often. We tried to convince them to open another one in Rochester.

The place was not full on a Saturday night - that should have been a clue. We were told that it was expected to be busy that night so we made reservations earlier in the day. I had the seafood abbondanza. Overall, it had good flavor but the calamari were like small rubberbands. My wife had the special shimp and scallops but the white sauce was bland. At least the shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection. Our server, as well as the host, could not wait for us to pay our bill. Our bill was presented to us when we still had 1/3 of a carafe remaining. They then proceeded to check for payment 9 times in 15 min. They did have live music that night but several tables remained empty during our dinner. I'm not sure why they wanted to turn the table so quickly with so many open tables.
