“Best sandwiches and soups in Sandpoint!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

This is probably my favorite place to have lunch in Sandpoint. In the center of the Foster's Crossing antique mall, the setting is fantastic and homey. Surrounded by shelves of gorgeous coffee table books on travel, decor, design and more, one can eat on a huge antique farm table while perusing the books as they drink their coffee, tea or hot chocolate. But the best are the sandwiches! They are high quality, fresh ingredients made into artistic and delicious food for both body and soul. Their soups are excellent also. They have a huge variety of specialty teas and tasty desserts. Not to be missed!!

“The Bodega @ Foster's Crossing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

The Bodega is in the Foster's Crossing building. It's a walk up to order and then seat yourself at family style tables. They have a soup/chili choice, salads and sandwiches, as well as, coffee, teas (organic/free trade) and the usual sodas, etc.. I had the special sandwich of the day, "The Beast". It was a roast beef sandwich on a roll piled high with fresh sliced, rare roast beef, lettuce, tomato and horseradish with a small salad on the dish with the best basalmic dressing! The roll looked like ciabatta but was soft, tender and delicious when you bit into it. It did not fall apart at all. If you aren't a fan of a lot of horseradish ask them to tone it down. I loved the sandwich as made! The other two in our party had the turkey, avocado and cheese along with the side salad and really enjoyed theirs. They also loved the basalmic dressing on the salad! For a Wednesday afternoon they were pretty busy and quite a few locals came in to pick up their orders to go! If I lived closer, I would go at least once a week!
