We ended up eating at Trinity our first night in Sandpoint as it was close by. The seafood rice bowl was excellent. They had live music (guitar player). The view out over the lake was lovely. Service was quick and our waiter was friendly.

We arrived early before meeting friends for dinner so we sat in the bar area and enjoyed chips and 3 kinds of salsa that were surprisingly good. Since it was winter, we didn't ask for a window seat as it was dark when we were ready to dine but I've been there in the summer and it does have a beautiful view. For dinner I enjoyed coconut shrimp but had to send back my crab cakes as they were really "doughy" in the center. They quickly offered to take it off our bill. The guys both ordered the Oscar Filet. They enjoyed it but felt it was a small portion. But, given the price, they didn't think it was a bad value, if that makes sense.

Stayed at the Best Western and in the morning just had to walk down to Trinity's and have breakfast before a day skiing! View of the lake is very nice.

We have eaten at the Trinity each and every trip (an annual summer event) to Sandpoint, and always enjoyed both the restaurant and the fabulous view. Last summer, my son who suffers from quadriplegia, had to leave the restaurant in the middle of his meal and return to our rented home, because there was not an accessible washroom in the restaurant, nor in the Best Western hotel located on the same property. I wrote many a letter - including to the Governor of Idaho, the Mayor of Sandpoint, both business owners, the landlord of the property etc etc.........and yeah! - the owner of the Trinity followed up, and has since renovated to include a barrier free/accessible washroom for guests who require same. For the obvious reasons - good food and location - I would encourage everyone who visits Sandpoint, to dine there or go for a mid-day drink at the bar - and support a business owner who also has a sense of social justice and equality, and responded to a request so people who are differently-abled will also be able to enjoy!

This was a very nice, but somewhat pricey restaurant. he food was excellent, especially the Corn & Crayfish Chowder, which I rate 5 stars. Would definitely dine there again!
