Thxs to Cal and Jill.!!
Had a wonderful and relaxing stay!!!! Cal and Jill were very warm and welcoming owners... Great hosts and their breakfasts were out of this world. All food allergies were taken into consideration.
Spent 2 nights and had a wonderful and memorable stay... Met new friends from Switzerland.... Lots of good feelings all around. Would recommend this B&B to anyone from around the world or from the USA....

Very enjoyable, comfortable stay for two evenings with another couple in this late 1800's home. The breakfast, rooms, sitting areas and our host were was wonderful. Only a few blocks from downtown and the waterfront. The only thing missing is a garden or more yard area, but minor compared to its overall charm. A wonderful place to retreat to while enjoying the Sandpoint area!

Stayed here, June 27 for 1 night. Got into Sandpoint in the rain. We were on a motorcycle and had quite a bit of rain this day. Were welcomed warmly and shown to our room. None of the rooms upstairs were booked so got the pick of the rooms. Rooms were clean and nice looking but a little small for our liking. This B&B is very close to downtown so was very nice to wander around. Construction is going on right across the street from The Sweet Magnolia but we were fortunate as it was raining and also the weekend. Breakfast was very nice. Woke up that morning to pouring rain and were able to stay around till 1100 that morning which by that time the rain had stopped.

This B&B exceeded my expectations. We chose the king bed suite with a claw-foot tub and spent two cozy nights there. The room was spacious, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with a memory foam mattress. The owners, Cal and Jill, were friendly and made excellent breakfasts both mornings we were there. We ended up staying in the dining room to chat with them for more than an hour each morning. The whole stay was delightful. I'd highly recommend the Sweet Magnolia!

We never would have expected to leave a review for an establishment where we had yet to stay..... This review praises the owner(s) of Sweet Magnolia B&B who were sensitive to us in our time of loss.
We were 2000 miles from home on the day we were to check in for, 2 nights June 17th and 18th 2014, at the Sweet Magnolia B&B when we were advised that my husbands sister suddenly passed away. We immediately arranged to fly home to NY. Early June 17th we called Sweet Magnolia B&B at 5:30 AM the day we were to check in. We left a message explaining that we suffered a death in our family and would be returning home immediately.
Early June 18th, Cal was kind enough to write us an e-mail expressing condolence for our loss and assuring us he would not charge us for canceling our reservation on the day of our check-in.
We are most appreciative of his professionalism and his sensitivity.
Although we did not stay at this property the treatment of our situation deserves accolades. Cal's treatment of us without ever having met us speaks volumes on the innkeepers kindness and sensitivity which is most appreciated.
We look forward to revisiting Sandpoint and staying at Sweet Magnolia Bed and Breakfast later this summer.

I stayed at the Sweet Magnolia with my mom and sister for 2 nights in June, and loved it. Cal and Jill are the most fantastic, welcoming hosts who made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. This place is incredibly clean, which is on top of my list of requirements. Breakfast was awesome every morning, beds were incredibly comfortable, and the authentic, old-fashioned antique decorations and details were so unique and memorable. I would highly recommend staying at this B&B for a really old school change of pace.

This is the the second time we have stayed at Sweet Magnolia and, as per our last visit, the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Not only do they offer a generous and delicious breakfast, great coffee at 7:00 AM in the upstairs sunroom, and a lovely, quiet spot close to all amenities, but they always go above and beyond to assist their guests in any way possible. You will not find better bed and breakfast hosts anywhere in America. We will stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who visits Sandpoint, Idaho.
