The beauty of this place is great. The amenities are too.

Sadly they play loud rock music everywhere. We couldn't en joy having our balcony door open or the pool or the lawn and views in front or the lobby's fireplace or the restaurants because loud offensive radio plays all over. They really should play pleaent instrumental only music softy to enhance the beauty and relaxation or no music at all in this day when we can easily listen to our preferences on our phones.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry about the music in the village. Through your comments we did change the music genre, turned it down and set it to turn on later. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

We stayed one night at the Selkirk Lodge at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. When we checked in the gentleman was friendly and helpful. We rode the chairlift up to the top and were amazed at the vista of SandPoint & Lake below! We drove down the mountain for dinner and saw lots of deer and more on the return trip up the mountain. In the morning there were deer at the resort and down the mountain we saw a moose in the creek! We Loved the comfort of the room & the vistas & wildlife! We would highly recommend !

Condo was lovely, staff so nice and helpful, good value for June. After 11 days on the road it was great cooking dinner in a well equipped kitchen, dinning with a view, fireplace on glass of wine, feet up, just like home, will visit again.

Stayed at the Selkirk Lodge in the deluxe king. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever been in - slept like a log. Room was spacious and well-equipped for a young family like ours. Fully stocked kitchenette. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The view from the resort is expansive, breathtaking. The rates are very good. Would love to come back in winter.

Room Tip: We went in the off season and most of the shops were closed. I would recommend during the active sea...

Selkirk lodge. Stayed in a NW Suite. Very Big Room. Nice to spread the stuff out with all your ski clothing and boots. Kids had their own tiny "closet" room where they could make their mess out of my sight. The fridge was more medium then small and there was some basic utensils and a microwave. The included breakfast was fine but it would have been nice to switch up the menu a little more. We ate lunch in the room and it was great to be able to hang out for a bit before heading back out. I would say you could even microwave a dinner or two as the room was large enough to feel like you were not eating in your bedroom. I.e. table and small food prep area. We had dinner & drinks in the hotel restaurant while the kids had chicken wings in the room. It was a great mini date night. warning: snow removal starts early in the morning, so you can expect to get woken up early 6am ish by back up alarms. Lasts about 45 min - 1 hr for the parking lot. On the bright side you will be on the slopes by 9. eazzy peezzy. Staying on the mountain is the way to do a ski trip...FOR SURE.

Came here for a week of snow skiing with friends. We had a valley/lake view from our condo. Our condo was nicely equiped with comfortable living room furniture, full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our unit had a small balcany.
These condos have European style doors and windows that allow for opening two ways and take some getting use to. At first, we thought the hinge was broken as the door came falling toward us but once we received instructions, they were great. With the handle at 90 degrees it was a door and with the handle straight up the door became a vent as it leaned in about a foot at the top allowing fresh air into the condo.
In a small village type concept in short walking distance, there are several shops including a small market, alcohol sales, ski shops and restaurants.
This is a ski in/ski out condo within a real short walking distance of the lifts.

Room Tip: Rooms on the valley or lake side facing east that are higher up get the best views. The north end i...

We took our family and parents this year for our annual winter vacation to the Selkirk Lodge. It was a great value and a lot of fun. The staff at the lodge, lifts, and shops are responsive and friendly. The quick tip clinic and private family ski lessons we took were very good for pinpointing things that each of us should work on (skiers ages ranging from 12 to 80!). The folks at Kindercamp do a great job: our 4 year old now skis the blue squares unassisted. The kids loved the breakfast, pool, and theatre. We all loved the ski-in ski-out convenience. Chimney Rock cafe has improved its quality, especially for dinner, over the last few years. Thanks for helping us have a great trip!

Room Tip: Stay in the suites and go mid-week: all the amenities and none of the crowds.
