My family stayed here on a vacation in 2009. The hotel was wonderful. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. The folks working here are very nice and fun to talk to. We ate in the adjoining restaurant and the food was simple but very well prepared and tasty. Prices for food and lodging seemed reasonable for the quality of the hotel. It was nice that it was also a local hangout. There are plenty of fun things to see and do in the Soda Springs area. Where else can you see a soda pop geyser, make carbonated Kool-aid, watch a slag "lava flow", and explore a small cave in the better part of the day.

This hotel was definitely very interesting. If you're in Soda Springs it's a must-see.
There's a cool museum on the second level and the geyser in the back is interesting too.
Also for those who don't know this is rated one of the 100 most-haunted places in the USA.

The room was pretty standard.... but I did feel slightly creeped out at times because it was eeriily quiet.

We ate breakfast here and watched the geyser blow from our table in the ballroom. The staff were very accomodating. I wanted breakfast hash and they made it to my specifications even though it wasn't on the menu without charging me an arm and a leg.

Beautiful hotel and museum. It must have taken alot of money for the restoration as it is very well done and top quality. Two excellant handicapped rooms on the main floor. Large breathtaking no charge museum on the second foor. And lovely clean rooms on the third floor all with views. Situated next to the geyser which blows every hour on the hour. From the front rooms you can see the distant glow of cooling slag at the Potash mine. Makes you feel like you are in Hawaii watching a volcano. Very romantic place to be with hot lava on one side and a blowing flume of water on the other..

Fantastic woodwork throughout and many antiques and taxidermy animals in lobby and restaurant. Grandma particularly liked the old switchboard that was much like the one she had worked on when she was single nearly 70 years ago. I had to take a picture of the bear barring his teeth out the window of the hotel lobby. Lobby is lined on both sides with rocking chairs. This is a very cool place to visit!

Great halfway stop between SLC and Yellowstone. Lovely scenic drives on 30, 34 and old highway 89. Not to be missed!

This historic hotel was built in 1917 and has been recently restored to its original splendor. Located next to the Geyser Park Visitor Center, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features 30 rooms, along with historical artifacts, and antiques. Amenities include a breakfast, fax/ copier service, local calls, in-room hair dryers, and in-room irons and board. There is a book worth reading about this place entitled, "The Enders Hotel: A Memoir" The book received the River Teeth Literary Nonfiction Prize.

Soda Springs is a surviving rural boomtown in beautiful Carabou County Idaho on the Oregon trail. Hotel is within walking distance of a fishing lake that is home to pelicans, swallows and other fun birds. Other nearby boomtowns are not doing as well which makes them interesting to visit. Check out Bancroft for its old fashioned soda fountain where you could by a 75 cent Farr Better ice cream cone hand dipped in August of 2008 by a couple who look like they've seen the town's better days. Or, historic Chesterfield where the Mormon pioneer trail meets the Oregon trail. A time capsule hidden away for years ready for you to discover, today.
