“Wonderful week in a fabulous cottage”
Reviewed 31 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Deerkeepers cottage is a lovely, comfortable and really well equipped holiday cottage. Furniture and fittings are all high spec so can't fail to please. We especially enjoyed using the garden furniture as we had fantastic weather throughout the whole of our stay. Angie is a great host and we arrived to a very welcome hamper of goodies, The cottage is in a great location with relaxing walks close by. We also enjoyed cycling from East Grinstead to Crawley via the Worth Way and from Forest Row to Groombridge via the Forest Way. All in all, a wonderful week!

“Fantastic location and quality”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting friends in the area.

The quality of the decor and furnishings is amazing and beats any 5 star hotel in the uk.

Our welcome pack was full of everything we needed and more and the whole experience made our weekend great.

We'd highly recommend and we are sure we will be back again.

“A Beautiful cottage in an amazing location”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Angela was so welcoming for our stay, the cottage was clean, set up and fitted out with brand new appliances. Even the wood burner was setup ready for a fire!
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the weather was perfect and with Plaw Hatch farm shop just a few yards down the road had amazing food!
We will be definitely booking again soon. Highly Recommended.

“Outstanding!!”
Reviewed 31 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

What can I say..truly amazing stay. Cottage is luxurious, spotlessly clean, and decorated to a high specification. Everything you would ever need is supplied, it is home away from home. Beds are so comfortable, the lovely smell of fresh sheets made us so happy. (Such a small detail, but goes along way!) The showers are fantastic, every little detail has been well thought out.The welcome hamper just perfect, (especially the wine, thank you Angie). Children were very happy with the delicious easter cakes baked by the owner Angie, and they even had 2 chocolate easter bunnies. Angie, is a splendid host, always on hand to help with anything you may need, warm and welcoming. The cottage is warm and comfortable, the woodburner is perfect for the evening. We loved practicing our tennis skills on the outdoor court. We enjoyed it so much, before we left we re-booked for the summer. My family and I have visited many cottages over the years, but none of them have ever met the high standard and comfort we experienced here, and I for one am VERY fussy, as my husband and children know so well. A definite 10/10! We only wish we could keep this little gem to ourselves. There are plenty of places only a short drive away to visit, if you are a member of the National Trust you will not be disappointed.

“Fabulous little cottage”
Reviewed 17 March 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We booked our stay at extremely short notice, but the owner was very responsive (allowing us to work everything out in our tight time frame) and extremely helpful at all points of our visit (before, during and after).

As far as the property itself went, it had a really nice feel (high quality fittings and furnishings, well laid out) and the bed and sofas were very comfortable - perfect for chilling in front of the wood burner! The kitchen was well supplied with cooking essentials, the welcome basket was a nice touch (and useful), and the *only* thing we found to be disappointed about was that the 'intelligent' cooker doesn't recognise non-standard pans - which meant it wouldn't make Italian coffee using a moka / caffettiere (though a French cafetière was available).

All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.

Thank you for your review and so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was a shame the induction hob is not compatible with your Italian caffettiera. I believe this hob has an inbuilt safety feature whereby it cuts out if a pan is removed or is of an insufficient diameter to almost cover the hot plate area. The cottage's french cafetière is probably a different coffee experience from the Italian style.

It would be lovely to welcome you and your family again.

“Lovely luxurious cottage owned by an equally lovely hostess”
Reviewed 3 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We were welcomed with freshly baked and delicious granola bars. Angela even provided us with a start up of groceries and a lovely bottle of wine. The first thing we did was to sit back and relax on one of the comfortable seats and browse through a well made folder with suggestions on where to dine and what to do in the area. The area itself is beautiful, we spent a whole day exploring. The cottage is located brilliantly for a day trip to Brighton or London. Luxury is the key word with two wonderful bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds.
We had a super holiday! And we will certainly come back.

My partner and I stayed for a long weekend as a birthday treat to escape from London. The journey was simple enough and we received a very friendly greeting on arrival. The cottage is beautifully decorated and feels very warm and cosy - especially when you get the log burner going! Everything is immaculate with all modern facilities and is extremely clean. Angela was exceedingly accommodating considering we booked so last minute and was always on hand if we needed anything, from providing directions to a cosy local pub or information on the stunning walks across the Ashdown Forest. My partner also particularly enjoyed the option of having the gym facility! We really enjoyed our time here and would certainly not hesitate to recommend to a friend or visit again!
