I've stayed overnight at a La Quinta before -- in Ashland, OR -- and didn't think it was anything to write home about. However, we're a family of six (two of whom are dogs) so we needed a hotel that was good for the kids and pet-friendly. We were making the long drive home to San Francisco from Ashton, ID. We made it as far as Twin Falls, when we decided to take a detour to Shoshone Falls/Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls (a very pleasant excursion, by the way).

By the time we were done, we decided to spend the night in Twin Falls, so I started looking up and calling around various pet-friendly hotels in Twin Falls. Holiday Inn Express and Best Western either didn't have anything available or only had smoking rooms available (YUCK!), so I called La Quinta. They held a room for me for an hour (which as long as they will hold a room for you without a credit card), and we drove over to see it.

Well, first of all, the ENTIRE hotel is non-smoking.

Secondly, it looks to be either a brand-new hotel or pretty close to brand new. Absolutely no complaints on the cleanliness or the condition of the hotel. Nice little gym, an indoor pool with hot tub that the kids loved.

Decent complimentary breakfast buffet that included a hot egg dish, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, and you can make your own waffles.

And, did I mention that it's pet-friendly and the entire hotel is non-smoking. Win-win for everyone, unless you're a smoker.

From the friendly check in clerk, the lovely room, the great location to the fantastic breakfast, this hotel has it all. It even has a small "store" in the lobby for anything you might have forgotten.

Very nice property. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good. Room was very clean and internet was fast. We paid 96.24 total senior rate and felt it was worth it. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Got an Oil change at the GMC dealer around the corner and they were great as we had to get back on the road to Jackson Hole Wy. Even washed my SUV.

I went to the La Quinta with a non profit group. We reserved one of their conference rooms and ordered their potato bar for dinner. The staff was amazing! The potato bar was everything they said it would be and more! The meeting room was exactly as we wanted. The guest rooms are incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. Even with our group confusing each other and the front desk, the staff at La Quinta was patient and never expressed any discontent with us. I would recommend this hotel over others in the area for sure! The location is ideal for groups on the go (next to freeway exit/entrance), near restaurants and shops as well. Their deluxe breakfast is much more than your average fruit and bagel bar. It's pretty good! All in all a wonderful stay. Plus, you can't beat a 24 hour pool and hot tub!

We were travelling with a golden retriever and this was the best hotel on the trip across the United States. The room was extra large with room for everybody. The hot tub and pool was beautiful. The dog relief area was right outside and easily accessible. The location lent itself to easily finding food. The breakfast was fantastic and included everything that we wanted. I would highly recommend going here again.

We were very happy with this clean spacious room and the hotel looks brand new. The pool is open 24 hours and looks very nice. Lots of families were there when we stayed. It is very close to all the other hotels so nothing is really close to the highway. But the benefit is you pass over this snake river. Stop and take time to see the canyon.

We stayed in the jacuzzi suite for our anniversary after reading the other positive reviews. We brought our two border collie dogs. They were very dog friendly. Not much grass outside, but plenty within a short stroll. Actually the dogs ran around off-leash in a big empty field nearby. We had a very nice stay. The room was quiet. We never heard neighbors, even with a room right by the elevator. The breakfast was great. Definitely wool stay here again.
