“Awesome experience - nice clean, new rooms”
Reviewed 20 July 2010

We had a family reunion and stayed at Moose Creek Ranch. The service was wonderful; whenever we asked for something, it was quickly provided. The whole ranch has been remodeled. Each room has a kitchen with a microwave, fridge, table, chairs and a fold out couch, a bathroom and master bedroom with a queen size bed. I slept on the fold out couch and it was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with enough supplies for a family of 4. The rooms have new furniture and are spacious. Some of our group went horseback riding and others went on river rafting on the Snake River near Jackson Hole. The ranch is in a quiet area with lots of grassy areas and a creek. The lodge had enough tables and chairs for our group of 200 to eat meals together. There was a pool table and TV. The kitchen is big with lots of counter space, 2 stoves/ovens and sinks. The rooms and lodge are tastefully decorated. The only thing I didn't like were the cheap toilet seats. For everything else - just compliments!

We just got back from vacationing in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. We chose Moose Creek Ranch as our "home base" while we explored the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. Jeanette was so helpful during the reservation process and answering all of my numerous questions. I am a travel agent and I tend to do an exhaustive search before booking any lodging. Moose Creek Ranch is stunningly beautiful, surrounded by mountains, down a quiet road leading to warm serenity. Jeanette had everything wonderfully ready for our arrival, and our cabin was so comfy and perfectly appointed! The cabins do not sport a TV or internet in them, but the lodge right across from the cabin has wireless internet, a large flat screen TV, a pool table and a lounging area. The Idaho nights were perfect for sleeping and the days were warm and sunny. The Moose Creek Ranch website was a wonderful resource, given we were unfamiliar with the area. We clicked on two of the links, one for the Bar T5 Chuck-wagon Dinner and The Dry Ridge Outfitters. We thoroughly enjoyed Bar T5's fabulous Wagon ride up the canyon to our dinner site. An excellent time and a memorable experience! They enhanced the experience with interactive entertainment, but the food was outstanding! Jeanette's link to Dry Ridge Outfitters was a wealth of information and each link easily facilitated making a reservation for each activity. Debbie, at Dry Ridge Outfitters is an excellent horsewoman! We've done other mountain horseback rides and by far, Debbie is the best and this particular ride was totally memorable! She took the time to "educate" the lesser experienced riders how to guide the horse and gave them constant tips on how to make their ride more enjoyable. She did a great job matching the horse to the rider, so the ride went great, without a hitch! The horses are right on site at Moose Creek so you don't have to go find the stable. It's a simple walk across the yard to get to the horses. Debbie will be able to advise you on the best ride, 2 or 3 hours or more, that would suit the skill level of the riders in your group. Jeanette and her husband really take great care of the ranch. Each person I spoke to in Jackson, WY, who knew of Moose Creek related that they'd hear great things about the ranch and that "they're doing great things up there." Jackson, WY is about a 25 minute drive over Teton Pass and the view is breathtaking! We really didn't want to leave the ranch on our last day, but we have wonderful memories of our stay at the ranch. Thank You!!!!

We chose the Moose Creek Ranch rental house for our Family Vacation. The house easily accommodated the five of us - 4 adults and 1 teenager. Nestled in the pines on a secluded ranch, it was the perfect place to relax. A burbling stream runs past the back of the house and you can hire Dry Ridge Outfitters (on site) to take you on a horse ride up the hills.

The house was clean, comfy and warm. Even though it was June, it was chilly in Idaho! But we were always comfortable. Appreciated the washer and dryer, too. Only caveat is to plan on driving quite a bit to get to Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park. But the drive through the Teton Pass and Jackson is gorgeous and worth the drive.

Thanks to Jeanette, Deb and Kevin, and Amanda for a great time!

Moose Creek Ranch provided the perfect home-base for my school group. The accommodations were cozy and warm and set in a quiet valley at the base of Teton Pass. The location could not have been more perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful and went out the their way to make sure that we had a successful stay. Thank you for such a wonderful trip, our students are still talking about it!
