“Learn Something New Everyday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

I enjoyed the tour I took with a few friends last weekend. I didn't go in knowing much about mining but the stories and examples of all the equipment miners have used throughout the year's was interesting. The guide (a retired miner) demonstrated most of the equipment during the tour. You have to enjoy either mining or learning something new, otherwise the tour is probably not for you.

“I will never complain about a stressful job again....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

This was an amazing tour with so much information on the area as well as mining. From the minute we saw Sheree's smile to Steve's education on the area to Bob's complete knowledge and experience of mining with his hands on show of the actual machines they worked with gave me and my daughter a respect for the labors of miners. We also are so thankful that we are so blessed to have learned this history! I will not complain about how stressful my job is as long as I remember the life lessons learned on this tour. It's a must do in Wallace.

“Very informative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

The tour was well worth the money. We got to walk inside an actual mine and the tour guide showed us all the different equipment the miners used. He even demonstrated some of the equipment while in the mine (warning some of it was a little loud).
i learned a lot about how things worked.

“Great Demonstrations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

The shuttle to the mine and the mine tour (led by retired miners) was very fun and informative. A highlight was demonstrations of mining equipment, which gave us stark (if momentary) experience in the loud, jarring, claustraphobia-inducing, dusty, muddy, work in a mine. Recommended!

“Fun for all”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

this is a very fun and educational tour which starts in Wallace and ends at an abandoned and now partially reopened mine. You don hard hats and see a jack leg drills operation. This is still a way of life for many in this area, and gives you an idea of how the mining process works.
