Not everybody knows that the Lake Barrington Shores Golf Club restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents (we are residents and get there a couple of times each month). It's under new management and the food is very very good. There is a standard staple menu of burgers, salads, and the like (salads are very good and innovative. In addition there is a nightly dinner menu that has a steak, fish, and pasta component that varies and has always been very good as well. Drinks are fair priced (i.e. 7-8 for cocktails). Wine is good but not expansive (just about right for this size restaurant). Deserts range from good to fantastic (we had a bailey's mousee in a chocolate cup that was unbelievable last week). Sitting out on the balcony in the evening over the lake can't be beat this time of year.
