“Great Anniversary Weekend”
Reviewed 17 July 2007

Celebrated my 12th year anniversary at the resort. There were 8 other couples that checked in with us. We rented out one of the penthouse suites and it was absolutely fantastic. The people there are very friendly and able to get you to places and things rather quickly. The customer service was superb. They were having some resurfacing of the sidewalk entrance and the traffic pattern was redirected appropriately. We didn't have any children with us this weekend however there were Kids Club activities going on while we were there. All the activities were in the lower level away from the rooms. The noise level was little to none. Loved the restaurants and the prices were reasonable.

  • Liked — The roomy rooms. East to move around.
  • Disliked — Everything was GREAT!

On or about August 1, 2007, this hotel will become a Hilton property.

Can't say anything bad about this place. Easy checkin. Hugh room. This place has a very comfortable bed, sheets, and pillows. Very large, and nicely decorated bathroom. Think marble with tile floors.

I'd be picking on this hotel if I were to complain about limited access television stations.

Nice indoor pool. Beautiful outdoor pool. If you're a golfer, this is the place to be.

Short ride to ORD and Midway airport. You will need a car or cab to get around. ORD is 30 minutes away. Nice workout room with good equipment. Free computer in the business center.

There's no place to go but up once they convert to Hilton.

I'd go back no matter what.

My husband and I stayed at the resort for a weekend in August. We are very seasoned travelers and have stayed at all types & levels of hotels/resorts. Check-in was very fast and front desk was pleasant. The lobby is a very nice atrium type area with a "Cave" bar. Very cool cave built into the topography of the atrium. Small but great martinis! The rooms are larger than average hotel rooms, probably due to the hexagon shape. You will either have a view of atrium or golf course, both very nice. The rooms are comfortable, but not too much luxury. No pillow top mattresses or nice toiletries. Decent, but could be so much nicer with just a few enhancements. We had lunch both days at the Master's Restaurant. Basic hamburgers, salads kind of place, but much better than average. The French fries are delicious! We didn't get the chance to dine at the nicer Sedona Grill, but it looked very nice. The hotel definitely seemed to cater to families and there were many kids around. Fine if you want a nice family getaway, but not quite great if you want a romantic adult weekend. We also had the couples massage and pedicures in the Spa Vargas. Both were nice and price was typical if not a bit less than most resorts. On Saturday night, we were awakened by a VERY loud fire alarm. Apparently someone was smoking in the elevator and non-smoking rooms. It wasn't the hotel's fault that some people were rude, but there were several weddings and seemed like lots of loud partying. Not sure if this is common or not, but it was very disruptive. Overall, it was fine and a nice place. With all the choices and high prices in Chicagoland, it was what we expected for the price.

  • Liked — Different look and Cave Bar
  • Disliked — Lack of luxury and lots of kids

Business/pleasure triip.
Pricelined western suburb hotel and got Indian Lakes ($55).
Room was large, comfortable and clean overlooking golf course.
Staff was most accomodating -- shuttle took us to meeting even though our meeting point was beyond their 5 mile limit. Front desk personnel were A-1.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor pool and mini golf as well as 18 hole course.
We talked about returning with grandkids as Resort looked good for family travel.

I took a chance and booked a 50 person meeting at this resort, the incredible room rate they offered greatly influenced my decision. Generally I would stick near the airport, but the conference rooms were sold out at the decent hotels. I was nervous about what we would encounter and have to admit I was more than pleasantly surprised. The entire complex has been remodeled and they have replaced just about anything that is not structural to the building. The building is a little dated, but the unique design is 10x better than getting stuck in a dated 4 star National Chain hotel. The hotel rooms have been completely refurnished and the bathrooms were completely gutted and updated with new marble and tile. We had a conference room off the main lobby and the sales/catering staff were among the best. Some coworkers played Golf and spoke highly of the new golf course. Dinner at the restaurant was worthy of 5 stars. The design of the hotel was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, not sure where the Indian part plays into the concept.

As with all hotels in the Chicago suburbs, do not take a cab from the airport taxi stand. Talk to the hotel about transportation options at much lower fares.

My boyfriend and I had ordered room service at 4:30...the lunch ended at 5 pm. We had ordered baked onion soup, a salmon dish and a mahi mahi dish. They said that the dishes would be ready in 30 - 45 minutes. We waited ONE HOUR....My boyfriend, furious, called the restraunt....Apparently nobody had called to inform us they had they didn't have the baked onion soups....And that bc we have waited for ONE HOUR...they should give us a discount for waiting being we had things to do and had a constraint on time. A minute later they had called and said that they didn't have the mahi mahi dish (14 dollars), and were to replace that with a seafood trio dish. One hour later, we got our dishes...and found out that they had charged us EXTRA for the trio dish...which was supposed to be the REPLACEMENT of the Mahi Mahi dish....The bus boy had said that he would check w/ the restraunt and be back in a few hours. The following day, the restraunt had not given us our discounts, much less a free meal being that we had waited approx 2 hours, and they had messed up our orders profusely. The receptionist claimed she could not help us w/ the room service, and could only give us a 12 dollar movie discount. Oh and by the way, the price of the dinner that they had given us was 50 dollars. It would have been 30 if they had not messed up numerous times. The room service failed miserably.
