The lakes are fun if you love fishing, but if you're looking for natural beauty I suggest checking out other places. Lily Cache Greenway is especially beautiful off 111th and Weber - a trail loops past the soccer fields, around the lake, through restored prairie, and out toward the water tower. Riverview Farm has a lovely old stone farmhouse. And the trail along the river that begins in Hidden Lakes is very nice - goes all the way west to a playground and park. But Hidden Lakes itself feels a bit artificial and constructed to me.
