The caravan park is on the way out of town on the edge of Towyn away from the main drag and arcades, which is walking distance away. The site is quiet and peaceful with a trainline running along the back of the site with a gated crossing leading directly onto the beautiful sandy beach. You can walk all the way into Rhyl along the beach path which was glorious looking back over the welsh hills. There is a cafe on site which we didn't try and a Chinese takeaway across the road from the park which was packed with locals. There is also a small Co-op on the way to Abergele which has all the essentials and we would recommend Miss Owen's Café in the caravan park along the road for lunch or breakfast.
The caravan itself had everything we needed for our short break. The lounge area sofa is new but the rest of the soft furnishings and fittings are a little stained, worn and dated. The caravan was clean and the owner really helpful in the run up to our arrival. Self check-in worked a dream and we enjoyed exploring the local area before making our way to the ferry from Holyhead about 45 minutes drive from the caravan. We have stayed in much more modern caravans, but this had everything we needed for a short cheap stopover.
