“Church on a hill”

It is a church in Tabgha overlooking the sea of Galilee.
Jesus was standing on the shore and instructed the disciples who did not recognized Jesus to cast their nets on the right side of the boat to catch some fish.
True enough they were unable to haul the net because of so much fish.
When they reach shore, they knew it was the Lord. It was the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples.

This is a Franciscan church which commemorates Peter's reinstatement as chief among the Apostles. The church contains a limestone rock in front of the altar, venerated as "Mensa Christi."
It is said to hold the spot where Jesus laid out a breakfast of bread and fish for the Apostles and told Peter to "feed my sheep" after the miraculous catch. It was very crowded when we visited, and hard to get into the church at all. Be prepared for that but don't let it stop your visit.

This site is of great importance and consequently is well visited, so be prepared for the crowds. Its fantastic location and historical importance make it a site not to be missed. Place yourself on the sea shore where Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection. See the beautiful church and touch the rock.

The Church of Primacy is also known as Mensar Christi. This was the place where after HIS resurrection from the death, JESUS appeared before HIS disciples at the Sea of Galilee and gave Simon Peter the pastoral mission to lead HIS sheeps (John 21 : 9). This was a very important place during our pilgrimage .......
