It was our first time holidaying at bluestone and we were impressed!
Having been to centre parcs in the past I can say I definitely prefer bluestone, it's smaller, closer together and just seemed nicer!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Caldey lodge with 3 children under 5.
The lodges are nice with everything you need.
The beds are uncomfortable but that's minor. The travel cot didn't smell too fresh either.
We had no bath which was a draw back with small children as the wet room was a pain with wet floors.
Bluestone itself is lovely, very clean and tidy. All members of staff are excellent and helpful.
We are in the knights tafarn which was good but the food at the farmyard grill was appalling for the money they charge, I complained about my food and got a refund.
The outside play areas are good and the blue lagoon fun, not as good as centre parcs pools but still good. As there were 3 kids and only 2 adults we had to hire a lifeguard to accompany us in the pool which is something I wasn't aware of and quite cross about but it was only £7 and Stefan who helped us was very friendly and good at entertaining the kids.
We did a messy play party but it was seriously overpriced and I will avoid booking anything when we go again.
The indoor play area us amazing but the food at the wild wood cafe is poor.
The surrounding areas are beautiful and the beach at saundersfoot lovely.
Folly farm is wicked with lots available, the vintage fair is great fun.

We won a weekend in Bluestone and six of us attended with two children (one disabled)

The lodge was very spacious with three bedrooms, an amazing bathroom and a lovely lounge
Kitchen was to die for wish I could of took it home

Restaurants and Bars are quiet expensive but that must be expected as their is a captive audience within the site

Golf buggie is required really but I think should be cheaper not £75

This was my fourth visit to Bluestone, but my first in Summer. We had booked a two bedroom cabin for two couples to visit. As always we had chosen a cabin overlooking the lake and the wildlife it brings with it.

Arrival and check in (for early entry) was as ever efficient and stress free and our booking requests had all been received and acted upon. We arrived at a clean cabin and immediately started to relax.

Bluestone for me is always relaxing, friendly helpful staff, great surroundings, and located in a lovely area with so much to do on site but also in the surrounding area.

On site are many walks an nature trails, bikes can be hired (as can golf buggies for those who struggle to get around), a swimming park with slides, a spa, a fine dining restaurant, a pub (which also does food), a restaurant, reasonably priced shop for provisions (food, drink and much more), gift shop, smokehouse restaurant and a cafe. There are also activities such as high wire, zip lines, archery etc for the adventurous.

On this trip we ate in the pub, barbecued on the terrace, ate in the fine dining restaurant and catered within the cabin, in addition to having a lovely Bucks Fizz breakfast delivered to us one morning.

I cant praise Bluestone enough, have visited 4 times over 2 years at different times of year and always had a good experience, also have recommended this place to others who have also enjoyed their trips.

Having experienced Centre Parcs before my first trip here I want sure if it would be able to better the CP experience, but it did, and by a long way. SO many options close by, and not restricted to staying on camp and having to pay for activities it gives so much more freedom to enjoy your break and do the things you want to

Room Tip: Choose a cabin on Bartholomew Rise for great views of the lake

Something there for every age group. We've been twice now and can't wait to go back. Our first visit was in December and was a short 2 night break while "Kingdom of the Elves" was running - absolutely fab. The weather was very cold and snowy but we still had a ball, plenty indoors in the warm to keep the children occupied. We went back in February half term, blessed with lovely weather and fell even more in love with the place. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area but to be honest, we seldom set foot off site as we haven't managed to exhaust what is on offer there yet.

Cottages are lovely and very central, hoping to try a lodge next time.

There were 7 of us ranging from 6 to 63 stayed in a 4 bed lodge. The lodge this year was starting to look like it could do with a bit of internal painting and touch ups of DIY here and there. The lodges are very spacious and ours had 1 bedroom with en-suite and 2 family bathrooms with a shower over the bath in 1 and a bath and wet room shower in the other. If you need a bath like we did for children, make sure you book one with a bath. We found the beds comfortable. We hired 2 buggies as we consider them essential unless you're as fit as Mo Farah but equally they are as much fun as they are a necessity. We did the zip wires @ £28 it's a bit over priced for 5 wires. Gold panning was fun @ £10. The 4x4 @ £19 again a bit overpriced for 45 mins round a track but was thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. The fairy show with tea @ £12.95 was disappointing as was the food. The entertainment at the show was lack lustre and if you don't like chicken bones then opt for vegetarian food because the meal was a chicken leg. The food in camp smokey fell below the mark again for us this year. We didn't eat in the knights tafarn this year because the menu has changed and there wasn't anything we fancied. We again didn't eat in the yard or as it's now called the farmhouse grill as we considered it to be overpriced. The shop and bakery are well stocked and prices to be expected. I'd love to keep going to Bluestone as the lodges and setting are stunning but we might use less of the facilities unless they change.

We booked bluestone due to is brilliant price. We usually go to centre parcs but with money being tight we decided to give bluestone a try... and will probably choose bluestone over centre parcs from now on.
We have two children under the age of 3 so it was perfect for them - its much smaller than centre parcs, but this means everything is close together and so your not dragging the little ones around all over the place.
We hired a golf buggy which was great fun and it meant we didnt have to lug heavy bags everywhere.

We didn't try any of the restaurants or cafes as we bought picnics and meals with us, but there was a nice selection of places to try.

The accommodation was lovely, light and spacious - but having the option of a bath over a wet room would have been nice.

We will 100% book again and will hopefully be able to visit oakwood while we are there as it was closed mid week and we only stayed midweek.

Only major criticism is that on the day we checked out, a cleaner came to the lodge with 2minutes before we had to be out and quite grumpily said "are you nearly done?". Bit of a downer to the end of a fab family break!

Just come back from a weekend spa package and was very pleased with the value.
We had 2 three hr sessions in the spa and a three course meal on the first night which was absolutely lovely and plenty of it. The second day we had another 3 hrs in the spa and a treatment with a light lunch and a carvery meal in the night! Again the meal was faultless!
The accommodation was ideal, very clean and spacious and although a very warm weekend with the weather the rooms were cool with the windows open.
The general site was clean and ALL staff members were polite.
I would definitely recommend this as a break and I am looking forward to returning.

Room Tip: All accommodation seemed good. The studios were ideal for a weekend break. The are no kitchen facili...
