This is a new hotel located right on the U of I campus. In addition, this conveniently located hotel has modern amenities, nicely appointed rooms, restful and quiet rooms, and helpful staff. Highly recommend if you want a great hotel steps away from the quad.

We just planned to stay one night before heading on to our final destination. We had car trouble on the way and had to be towed to the hotel. After such a ride - I was very happy to be greeted by a smiling face. The room was excellent - just what I expect from a Marriott brand. Breakfast was a simple, but filling, buffet - included with room. We ended up staying a second night as our truck was being repaired. Finding out it was our anniversary - they sent up chocolates and a bottle of wine for us with a signed card. I will never be able to express how much that meant.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay here. Very happy that the staff was able to go above and beyond to satisfy the guest.
That is what we strive to do is have a lasting impression that will continue with your travels. The General Manager Mrs. Brewer takes pride in instilling these great traits to the hotel and has rubbed off on the entire staff. It was wonderful having you stay with us and hope to see you soon in the future and happy anniversary!

Thank you ,

Sean Mcilwain
Assistant General Manager

This is about a block from campus. You can see the student union and Altgeld Hall clearly out some of the windows. Can be a bit hard to find - just a blue awning on Green street, but you have to have a key to get in that way. You have to park in the parking garage behind it and then cross the capped Boneyard Creek to get to the real main door of the hotel. They have an arrangement with the garage and you pay the hotel for adding parking to your room key. I think it was $7 a day with in and out privileges. But the reason to stay here is to just LEAVE your car, esp if you are on a trip with a prospective student to explore the campus. Just walk. This is one of the least car friendly campuses I have ever seen. I am not even aware of a visitor’s parking lot. Please be careful of bike lanes. They are hard to spot here and bikes go both directions - always look both ways before leaving the curb - then look again.

Stayed only one night to tour U of Illinois. Right across the street, no driving required. I was worried it might be loud as there was a bar restaurant next door. I was on the other side of the building right near the elevator and ice machine. I heard no noise whatsoever. It must be well built, and definitely well-designed. Although it’s not huge, it had a little kitchen when you first walked in, and the bathroom also separated the beds from the hallway. The kitchen had all the utensils you could need for cooking at “home:” A stovetop and microwave, pots and pans, silverware, plates, glasses and cups. The closets were sharply decorated by a professional service, making the most of the ample space in the two closets. They included an in-built (removable) laundry basket! There was a table and chairs, sofa. I was just expecting a room, so was very impressed. One could definitely set up a temporary home there! There was not a restaurant but a friendly, full service bar where a complementary breakfast was served that added a mellow but friendly heartbeat to the place. It had just the right amount of activity to feel vibrant while not being noisy ou rowdy. A nice stay.

It is convenient to campustown and there is lots of constructiion in the area. Noisy on Friday night from bars and construction starts at 6 on Saturday. Breakfast items are stone cold unless you are lucky enough to be there as they replenish. Room is ok.
