but this is a secret treasure of Chicago. Between the inlaid marble, Tiffany stained glass and the carved staircases, it is a feast for those who devour craftsmanship and history. Make sure you visit every nook and cranny of the place. There are usually art exhibits featured monthly. The concierge can help with maps and such.

Free. Right next to Millennium Park. Just walk on in and enjoy the incredible mosaics on the floors, banisters, ceilings… Really beautiful. Doesn't take long to stroll around. Don't miss it!

First of all, the building is right across from Millineum Park and the bean so if your already going to be there you just stop at the building for a quick glance. The mosaics and glass domes are world glass and amazing. It's completely free just to walk throughout the building and it was almost empty even though it was a Sunday afternoon. If your going to be nearby definetly make a stop at the Cultural Center.

The cultural center itself is very easy to find- at the corner of Michigan and Randolph. My husband and I were meeting a Chicago Greeter inside, and he gave us a quick tour of the building, including the gorgeous Tiffany glass ceiling, and various murals and mosaics on the floors and walls. I loved the quote about books, as I believe the building once was a library. The Cultural Center is also impressive from the outside, and you can easily just pop in and see it, as there is no admission cost. On certain days they also have free concerts, which they were setting up for on the day we visited- a Wednesday. Such a wonderful attraction to see- I would highly recommend it!
