That was all we went to see. Had been biking all day and did not have the energy for the whole thing, just needed some AC. Plus we are both city planning fans so are familiar with the 1893 expo. Exhibit started out great but pretty soon it was another natural history exhibit, with the twist that it was all stuff that was exhibited at the fair itself. It was still a great exhibit but we wished there was more historical material relating to the fair and its development and execution as opposed to reproduced, albeit interpretive, exhibits.

My family recently visited the Field Museum, and while there are some cool things to see, it was a little disappointing. If you've seen the museums in D.C., this will seem a little anti-climatic. However, there is a lot to be learned about our history, and the Field Museum does a nice job of depicting our history.

Every exhibit was fascinating. Learned so much from the culture exhibits. Dinosaurs great. Spent one day at Field and one at Museum of Science & Industry...wish we had spent 2 days at Field and skipped the other. Museum of Science/Industry very hands on...not as much DEEP knowledge. Exhibits of NW American Indian Culture amazing with the house and totem poles.

I am a history person and could have spent 2 days here. A huge amount of things to check out. For the two 14 year olds with me though, 4+ hours was enough, by that time they were hungry and ready to move on. Up until that time though they really enjoyed it as well.

Very old museum with very complete and attractive exhibits. A must in Chicago. Sue, the T Rex was amazing to see.
