This place is known for their baked goods and a decent borscht. It serves a good challah type bread and a very good butter and garlic dip for the bread. It had very high quality coffee slow drip machines. but we came for a late Sunday afternoon light lunch of borscht and were also interested in sampling their meat dumplings or varenyky. The borscht was good but not outstanding. The meat dumplings tasted as if they had been pre-frozen and some of them had fillings which seemed rancid. This may have been an aberrant experience but I feel that the waiter should have warned us not to order them. Word of mouth is that the crepes are very good. If you are looking for a casual home style Ukrainian food experience, I would recommend Old Lviv restaurant instead. If you are looking for coffee and dessert, this may be the place for you.
