“Lovely food but in ludicrously tiny portions”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

This place is very stylish, has great service and the food is delicious, but the portions are ludicrously small for the prices charged. When we told a local that we'd visited, her reaction was "and did you feel the need to visit macdonalds afterwards?" - which we had seriously contemplated. With the tasting menu priced at $65, this place should be avoided by all but dedicated foodies.

“Try Tapas!”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

I arrived late and the terrace was crowded. I didn't want to wait an got a table upstairs.
I really only wanted a bite to eat and ordered the Sea Bass (BRANZINO CON ALCACHOFAS - Mediterranean Sea Bass, Fennel Artichoke Barigoul, $19) which arrived quickly and was a good choice.
The menu lists a great choice of tapas: boqerones, pimientos, pulpo, gambas, cheese, chorizo etc. so if you are in a group I recommend sharing a choice of these. They will serve you a large (!) pitcher of sangría with it (which a couple at the table next to me had and could not finish although claiming it was good).

“A Little Too Highbrow”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Attached to our hotel was this Iron Chef owned restaurant. The menu was creative but I think it was a bit pretentious. The small plates (tapas) are a LITTLE toooo small, but they were delicious. The drinks are average price for such a fancy place, but the servers were not exactly warm and cuddly.

I probably wouldn't visit again, but if you like unique food and want to try the wares of an Iron Chef, sure- give it a shot. Don't forget your wallet because this place is pricey!

“authentic catalonian tapas in chicago”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

we stopped in for a quick bite before heading to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game; small plates were great. we were looking forward to returning for a late meal when we got back to the hotel; unfortunately they close at 11 - that is not Barcelona-style, but we recommend this restaurant anyway (just be sure to eat early)

“Full of flavor and atmosphere”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

I was in town for a conference, and 4 of us came here for dinner. The location is great, right on Michigan avenue, and we had a table by the window, 2nd floor, overlooking the street. We decided to order a bunch of plates to share and it was an explosion of flavors. Bacon Wrapped Dates were a very nice surprise, but the lamb chops were the highlight of the meal. They were cooked perfectly and there was nothing but bones left in short order.

By the time the paella arrived we had devoured the other small plates (garlic shrimp, ham croquettes...). Everything was delicious.
