“Changing flights at ORD overnight - worth considering!”

For changing flights at Chicago ORD involving an overnight stop, this hotel could not be more convenient.

It is easy to find, the large illuminated HILTON sign on the building helps with orientation!

On arrival, we were greeted by friendly and helpful reception staff.

The bedroom and bathroom were clean and adequate for a short stay. That said, the bathroom was very small and the bath drain was slow to clear during our visit which although it did not affect its use it did not look good!. - Perhaps this sort of issue should be noted and reported by staff during guest change –over periods which must be frequent at an airport hotel.

We had buffet Breakfast in the hotel which was satisfactory, not the ‘spread’ encountered at other Hilton’s however more than enough choice to start the day!

All in all a good choice for a one night stay due to its walking proximity across the road to the terminals!

If you are stuck at O’Hare ORD airport and need a hotel room that same night and you are a Hilton HHonors member, be sure to call and check on the Points + Cash deal at the Hilton hotel right there in the airport. Although the quoted room rate was about $250, when we were transferred to the Hilton HHonors desk we were told we could get a room for $85 + 16,000 Hilton Points – a bargain for a $200+ room!! Total with tax was under $100. We had a nice room, and amazingly although this hotel is right in the middle of all the airline terminals we never heard any airplane noise. The shuttle bus driver went out of his way to take us to a nearby office building and back to the hotel on a busy morning (shuttle trips are $5/person/one-way trip). The one downside here is food prices. Even at the sports bar, burgers and sandwiches were $15-$18, almost as much as the $19 room service sandwiches. We opted for the pre-wrapped sandwiches in the deli in the lobby for “only” $7.50 each. To be expected at an airport hotel, car parking is insane as well at $33/night for self-park, $53/night for valet parking. If you are taking the airport bus to/from neighboring states, the Bus Transportation Center is directly outside the lobby doors, and the Chicago “L” subway is a short walk away as well.

Room Tip: All rooms seem ok - we heard no airplane noise even though hotel is right at the airport.

great beds, very compfy, pleanty of restaurants to choose from. dont expect cheap prices. 60 % higher than most places and the food is not worth it. we stayed only because of flight delay. very thankful that they had rooms and they were very nice rooms.

Stayed here for one night to attend business meetings. Hotel room and decor was OK, but the bathroom was super tiny (the bathroom door literally hits the the front of the toilet bowl when opening in). What bothered me the most, was that the hallways were "littered" with room service trays, glasses, etc. Doesn't the hotel staff ever come to pick these up? Speaking of the hallways, they need some TLC ... the doors have paint missing and the walls have scuff marks. Picky? Yeah, probably, but it takes away from the neatness of the hotel. The beds were comfy and the free computer usage in the lobby was a good amenity. I'd stay here if I was absolutely stranded at O'Hare, but I'd pass otherwise.

We do take cleanliness very seriously and we are sorry for the poor impression you received by seeing some room service trays on the guest floors. We have regular routine pick ups however when the hotel is extremely busy as it has been lately with inclement weather causing many distressed flights and many passengers being sent to our hotel with little prior notice, in these cases, it can take longer to get the trays picked up. But we appreciate your bringing this to our attention so that we can do better.

First off after a flight cancelation I was happy to just get a room. But after completing my stay and thinking about my experience it just wasn't up to par.
First, the 8th floor window didn't seem like it was sealed correctly for most of the night there was a loud whistle of cold wind blowing in and it was below 0 outside. Second, the phone on the desk was intermittent at best, and third, the tub didn't drain, until 15 minutes after I got out of the shower.. On a positive,the bed was comfortable, and I was able to get some much needed sleep. Location is extremely convenient.

I was traveling with the family (7 of us) passing through O'Hare and with a canceled flight needed someplace to stay for the night. It was 8pm with many canceled flights and lots of upset travelers. The airline (I'm a high mileage flyer) arranged discounted rooms and we took the very short walk underground to the lobby. There was a very long line of people trying to get rooms but a shorter Hilton Hhonors line and the front desk staff were very helpful, especially given the stress everyone in the line was under. They gave us 3 rooms on the same floor and close to each other. Given the large number of rooms/size of the hotel, that was very helpful.

The rest is as expected for this property. Clean, functional and well kept rooms. Great breakfast buffet and efficient service. It would have been very easy to have had a horrible experience given how frustrated everyone was at the airlines and the weather and how many people were trying to get in at the last moment. However, I guess the hotel experiences this often and has a process in place to deal with it. Overall, we were very pleased.

Needed to get to ohare before a storm was approaching, this is the place. Room was very clean & the "runway room" had a nice view. Took advantage of pool & steam room before getting a great nites sleep. I've read a few reviews about the small room size but for 1 night & basically inside the airport, it's a no brainer. Looking forward to using this hotel before my next AM flight out of O'Hare
