I very much enjoyed my stay at the B&B as did the rest of my family when we were in Chicago in August. Dave and all of the staff made us feel at home and cared for. They were all very helpful and kind! The food was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable and cozy. Looking forward to coming back some day!

We have stayed here twice, and had a great experience both times. Quirky/charming rooms, great food and free parking! Very convenient to south Chicago - a great option for people (like us) visiting UChicago. We look forward to staying again!

I found Bridgeport B & B on trip advisor, the reviews were very positive, and we were not disappointed. Dave was exceptional in info about the area and very attentive to our needs. The breakfasts (especially Dave's signature Crème Brule French Toast) were outstanding and very filling. The rooms were clean and spacious. We were given a ride to the subway each morning, given us a heads up on what to visit for that day, it was our first visit to Chicago, a beautiful and exciting city--definitely will be back and of course will see Dave and his crew again. We were more than pleased with our visit and would recommend a stay at Bridgeport B & B

We checked in on a Friday night, and were ushered into the White Sox Suite on the top floor. The whole place has the vibe of a well kept older building, and the suite was quite large. It was honestly way too much space for just the two of us, but we might bring some friends and the kids back to stay here next time. The price was about the same as some of the hotels downtown where we would have been jammed into a closet for the entirety of our stay.

The food at the Polo cafe was plentiful and delicious. I had the creme brulee french toast, and I'm glad I took the "single" slice serving - it was mammoth! My husband was happy to help me out with it though. The top was crispy crunchy from the carmelized sugar, and it was shaped into a cup to hold fresh fruit and whipped cream. The bottom was soft and soaking up all the delicious fig butter glorious "syrup". My husband seemed pretty happy with his dish, too, bridgeport potatoes, bacon and I don't remember what else because it disappeared so quickly.

The B&B is well situated near the expressway, so it's easy to get to, but far enough away from the racket and bustle of downtown that we were able to sleep well, and manage getting to and from the B&B without too much drama between navigator and pilot.

Kevin and the rest of the staff took very good care of us. As we were heading out Friday night to catch our reservation at Ditka's he gave us some tickets to see an Imax movie later that evening that he wasn't going to be using. It was a blast. Also, Saturday night we stayed in as a rather nasty storm blew through Chicago, and the guys in the kitchen hooked us up with an epic dessert sampler - pistachio and double chocolate gelatos, macaroons, and espresso cake. YUM. We sat in front of the wide screen TV eating dessert and watching the Northwestern vs. OSU football game - perfect!

My husband and I learned about Bridgeport while looking for a place to stay for a few days before a work conference. We had a great experience from check in to check out. The room was very spacious, like having our own appartment. The food was amazing, made to order breakfasts, whatever you can imagine. Dave even put together a dessert platter for us to take to visit family on very short notice. Not a lot to explore in walking distance, but Dave was more than willing to run us to the usual tourist attractions or to the CTA stations. We would definitely recommend his bed and breakfast to anyone traveling to Chicago.

I found out about Bridgeport B & B through Tripadvisor. I felt pretty confident booking this place after reading all the positive reviews. I must say we were very happy with our stay. Dave the owner, operator and chef was a very interesting fellow. His breakfasts were outstanding and very filling. He even drove us to McCormick place both mornings after we had our breakfast. (parking in the Chicago area is very expensive) The beds, and bedding were very comfortable, and the bathrobes were a nice touch. On our last morning we had a very early flight and didn't have time for a sit down breakfast. Dave prepared us a breakfast to go which was very kind of him at 6:00 a.m. The only thing negative was the WIFI. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. If we ever go back to Chicago, we will stay here. Thanks again Dave & Kevin.

We were in Chicago for a trade show at McCormick Place in September.

Our hosts at the Bridgeport, Dave and Kevin, went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Dave helped us get to our spacious third-floor suite, where he had provided everything we needed. I noticed right away that the towels were exceptionally large and thick, a very nice touch.

The breakfasts we were served were unique and beyond delicious. It was worth the drive from St. Louis to Chicago just to have Dave's creme brulee french toast and Kevin's veggie omelette. Another nice touch were the crisp white linen napkins on the table.

The Polo Cafe is a warm and welcoming place with very interesting and unusual decorations. The shelves are filled with beautiful dolls, among other things, and the walls are a tribute to Chicago's mayors.

The Bridgeport's prices are reasonable, and parking is free. What more could one ask for!

Room Tip: I only saw the suite in which we stayed. However, judging from Dave's philosophy, I'd ventu...
