Delicious place for Sunday breakfast. Nice selection of choices. The Veggie Benedict was amazing. Staff very attentive and courteous.

Great place to meet with friends, and grab a beer and some very good food. Have tried a few menu items and all have been very high quality. Plenty of TV's to catch all the games and staff is very accommodating.

I would stay away from this one. There are much better options in Chicago. The service was horrible. To start off they lost our reservation. While they did seat us quickly after arriving, it was 15 minutes before any server came by to even say hello. Our beers finally arrived at the table 35 minutes after we sat down. It was almost an hour before our food showed up. The chacuterie plate was unimpressive. One of our main entries came cold and had clearly been sitting around in the kitchen for a while. Our other entry -- pork loin -- was OK but certainly not worth the wait. This is one of my worst experiences in the past two years. Other than the apologetic manager, the staff was either aloof or rude.

Wide variety for brunch. Egg white omelet with squash, kale, faro and goat cheese was unique and delicious. Very good service as well.

State and Lake serves an absolutely fantastic breakfast. The service was outstanding, with Jorge taking great care of us. This isn't just a great hotel restaurant, it's simply a great restaurant.
