“In a word exquisite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2009

From the moment you pull into the courtyard, you feel as if you are arriving somewhere in Europe. Beauty can be subjective, but this is truly lovely. The artwork, chandeliers, flowers, textiles, and textures, and are true candy for your senses. The guest representative that greets you is yours from check-in, to escorting you and your luggage to your room. The rooms are luxuriously oversized, with features that will surprise you. A sophisticated lighting system, stunning lamps and sconces, beveled mirrors, an unbelievable mini-bar with, upscale treats, and a microwave discreetly hidden from view, a marble bathroom retreat with two sinks, soaking tub, separate shower, in mirror TV, IPOD dock, Juliet balconies, all rooms with gas fireplaces, luxurious bedding, textures and colors, from champagne, and platinum, to crown molding and Chanel style furniture…did I say artwork and a sparkling chandelier in the sleeping rooms, too. My husband and I were celebrating his birthday this weekend in anticipation of the official opening on Wednesday, December 9th. We did see the lovely spa, yes, more stunning sights for the senses, with twelve treatment rooms, a lap pool, men’s and women’s Jacuzzi’s, steam, and dry sauna, classroom, and a large and very impressive selection of equipment. We did experience room service, which was quite reasonably priced. The two restaurants Balsam (European bistro), and Ria (upscale dining, “where land meets sea”), and bar named Bernard’s were lovely.

In Greek mythology, the Elysian Fields in Elysian were the final resting place of the souls of the heroic and the virtuous.

I could tell you more, but there are some things you will just have to find out for yourself.

Unconditionally recommended for all guests, both coming into town and celebrating a special occasion. I hope you get to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste for yourself soon.
