“Decent, but could be better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Excellent beer selection, but glasses could be colder. Fish tacos were delightful, as was the pretzel appetizer. Fried chicken sandwich was a big let down as it was very bland. I've had better chicken at McDonalds. Parmesan fries were worth the extra $. Service was just ok. My son had to go to the bar for a soft drink refill. Probably won't go back.

“Go for the food, not the service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

Had dinner there with some friends last week. The food was great, and they have a HUGE beer selection. However, the service was sub-par. The restaurant was not very crowded, yet our server had to be flagged down to order, to get more napkins, etc.

“Not worth your time.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

When we first arrived we thought it would be a great place. Boy were we wrong. The service was terrible we had to run down our server. The when the check came we were told that we could not split the check.

The service was terrible

“Good food & great beer selection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

Nice outdoor seating available, really really loud inside though. Food was good - nothing to rave about. My son did love his BLT, but my fish tacos were a little greasy. I'd go back - the atmosphere was great.

“Good beer, average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

This seems to be the theme for our Chicago trip. The Public House on the corner of Kinzie and State has a decent selection of local beers and pleasant and friendly servers. The food is average. I had a so-so steak and my wife had a disappointing salad.
