Poor standard

For the money paid it was a small room, no coffee making facilities, noisy a/c, expensive bar. We stayed at Marriott Magnificent Mile last time, wished we had done this time. I will get my company to de-list it as a Chicago choice.

We appreciate your feedback regarding your recent stay and disappointed to hear that it was anything less than perfect. I apologize that it was not properly communicated to you, however we do, indeed, supply guests with coffee makers in their guestrooms. To ensure that each coffee maker is cleaned and maintained properly and regularly, coffee makers are made available upon request. A coffee station is also present each morning, until 11am, in the Living Room on our main level.

We also offer several varying room types on our property that range from our smallest, "Cozy", room type to extremely large suites. Having been built in the late 1920's, our unique and historic structure does cause some variance between rooms. That being said, a few of our rooms are a bit cozier than others. I'm truly sorry for any discomfort your guestroom may have caused you.

I hope that on your next trip to downtown Chicago you'll give us an opportunity to make a more pleasing impression. If, by chance, you do return in the near future, please feel free to reach out to me, the property's W Insider, directly. I'll do my best to amplify your time here and aid you in selecting a room type that better suits your style.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms very modern in design. Fabulous shower for two. Near everything downtown/Miracle Mile. Restaurant and bar were excellent. Wonderful place for a romantic stay. We have reservations for a return weekend

Extremely small room, no Place to put your bags. Bathroom extremely small, no room to put your legs when sitting on toilet. Shower Only piping hot water and no way to get the temperature down. Bar noisy. Wants to be hip but fails miserably. Avoid.

Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your recent stay. I'm disappointed to hear that you didn't fully enjoy your time here with us. Having been built in the 1920's, our unique structure does cause some variance between rooms especially with our location in the financial district. That being said, some of our rooms do tend to be a bit cozier than others. I apologize for any discomfort your guestroom's layout may have caused. We do, however, have an array of room types ranging from those cozy rooms to extremely large suites. I'm hoping that on your next visit to downtown Chicago you'd give us an opportunity to make a more memorable impression. If your travel plans do, indeed, have you returning to our area in the near future, feel free to reach out to me, the property's W Insider, directly. I'll certainly work with you to reserve a guestroom that better meets your expectations.

Was here one night, on a work trip. I was given a massive suite. Outstanding room. It was so nice that I decided not to go out for dinner, ordered at the bar and ate in my room.

It seems like Ws are getting a little worn at the edges, like they haven't been given a refurb in too long. This property falls into that category. But it was still comfortable and classic.

Thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the suite upgrade but certainly disappointed that our property didn't live up to your expectations. Having been built in the late 1920's, our property does have some aged features. A great number of these aged features were left in place to reflect the history of our storied building and neighborhood. We thank you for appreciating the classic tone of our property's design. I would love the opportunity tell you more about the historic features and accents of our property and neighborhood on your next visit to the Chicago Loop. Feel free to reach out to me, the property's W Insider, the next time your travels lead you in our direction. I'll do my very best to ensure an even more memorable stay.

Up for a weekend stay and my usual Marriott loop hotel was booked so I decided to try this new addition to the Marriott brand right across the street from the the JW. Friendly place with decent room priced at loop average. Convenient to the L and the blue line. Staff was extremely nice.

Staying here for several nights, if I could change hotels I would! Hotel is old, worn. Filthy carpets and in need of a major renovation. I would never ever stay here again. I’m giving it 2 stars because they have a great staff but the hotel looks like a motel 6!

Thanks for leaving feedback regarding your stay with us. Our guest feedback is important as often times it may pinpoint an area of needed focus and attention. Here at W City Center it is our goal to provide an exceptional guest experience for each person who graces our property. This guest experience includes the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our guestrooms and common areas. I apologize that we've failed to meet your expectations and have fallen short of accomplishing that goal. I have made our Style Department leaders aware of the cleanliness issues you've encountered and they are working to locate and rectify those issues so that this experience is not repeated.

The W brand strives to stay ahead of what's now/next in innovation and design, however each W Hotel property is tailored to speak to the neighborhood where it is located. Being located in the heart of Chicago's Loop and having been built in the late 1920's, our historic property has kept many of the elements that are signature to the storied time at which the building was erected. I, again, apologize for any discomfort our property's setup may have caused.

I would love the opportunity to tell you more on the history of our building and make your next stay in downtown Chicago more memorable. Feel free to reach out to me, the property's W Insider, now or the next time your travels lead you in our direction. I'll do my very best to amplify your experience with us.
