I spent two nights at the Embassy suites and found the hotel to my liking. The room looked like almost every other Embassy Suites, and could use some minor repairs, for which I knocked a point off. The location is great, close to some decent restaurants and perfect for downtown business. The view out of the room was wonderful, and the atrium is much more spectacular than the usual Embassy Suites as one side is glass.

Just wrapped up 3 nights at the Embassy Suites at a great price. The free breakfast spread is the best I have seen at any hotel. The beds were super comfortable and pillows were perfect. The free drinks/snacks in the evening were a bonus too.

The only noticeable defect in the room was some slightly peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and some degeneration of the wood bathroom door like you see when the door is open on wet rugs/towels for awhile. We also heard a loud kid screaming from the room beside us, but we couldn't control that and it was obvious the parent couldn't either.

The location is ideal, just a short walk to Michigan Ave and Navy Pier. There is an AMC Theatre and bowling alley adjoining, and a large Walgreen store a 1/2 block away.

The value here is amazing for the price we paid.

My husband and I recently took a short trip to Chicago to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. As a Hilton Honors member, I received an excellent deal to stay at Embassey Suites in down-town Chicago. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The staff is EXTREMELY happy and helpful. We enjoyed the bar area and the complimentary made-to-order breakfast was great. We have been to this hotel a few other times and one of the bartenders even recognized us from our previous stays. We love Chicago and this hotel is a great place to experience it from.

We stayed here when we went to Chicago for my duaghter's 15th birthday last week. The front desk staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Concierge was great with directions, restaurants you name it. The valet staff were extremely friendly and always ready to get a cab, one of them always said "Hi Birthday girl" when he saw us to my daughter. The bartenders were great and the manager was always walking around at breakfast and the manager's reception to make sure everything was great.
They have one of the best breakfasts of any hotel I have ever stayed at, and their chef was friendly and fast. The manager's reception is great. We got free drinks, there were non alchoholic drinks such as hot chocolate, lemonade, and one night shirley temples, as well as an array of snacks and appetizers. We were able to eat a big lunch and then have some snacks so that we did not spend as much on food. We also stayed in one of the superior rooms on the 17th floor. There is a vending machine up there that you can get water or soda and some snacks from, this was an awesome amenity to have especially for the water or that middle of the night craving.
I would definitely stay here again, the rooms were clean and pretty big especially for the area. The only problem we had was Friday night when the hotel started to get busier there were a lot of noisy peole outside our room at all hours when we had to leave at 3 am for a 6 am flight.

Room Tip: The 17th floor is definitely worth paying a little more for if the rates are not that far apart, these are the superior rooms. We had a keurig and access to the vending machine.

Location gives you easy access to many parts of town. Every room is a suite. Love that. The complementary, all-you-can-eat breakfast is very high quality, with the option of having your omelette custom-prepared. Very enjoyable.
