Nina and Chris Nugent make your visit to their restaurant even more special with their warm and personal service and incredible food.Their nondescript location near a strip mall is completely forgotten once you enter the small, nicely decorated restaurant and take in the artistry of the food that is presented. Reservations are hard to get, we got ours 2 months in advance on Opentable. The restaurant has since retained their Michelin Star from the previous year.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here on a Wednesday night. We were given what we felt was the best (most private) table in the small dining area. Every aspect of our dinner was great as the food was spectacular, service was spot on and the ambiance was very pleasant. Night was topped off by having a great chat with the owner and given signed menus by the chef. Would recommend to anyone.

Reservations can be difficult but worth the trouble at this small friendly almost homey restaurant. With chef Chris Nugent in the kitchen and his wife Nina handling the desk they come acros as honored that you have come to dine with them. Knowledgable wait staff, not at all pretentious for the food being served and the added bonus of being able to bring your own wine make this one of Chicago's best. don't miss it.

I have wanted to come to this place for a while but reservations are difficult to get as they do not answer the phone and the online system always indicates no availability. Dropping by the restaurant when they are open is a good way to secure reservations. The space is lovely and well decorated, and the staff is friendly and service is good. BYOB is also a good selling point for me as well, since I can bring wine that I have been saving for a good meal. The food is presented beautifully, with carefully arranged decorations. A typical dish has a line of sauces or vegetable bites, and each dollop is decorated like a miniature flower arrangement. The cooking and taste of the dishes, however, are rather traditional albeit well prepared. I had expected unusual dishes or novel pairing of tastes, but nothing too surprising. This may be in the tradition of Chef Chris Nugent, whose dishes at Les Nomades were also well prepared but very traditional in taste and preparation.
