I researched about a dozen hotels and chose The River Hotel for a three night stay in Chicago. The price was comparable, if not better than most of the other properties I was considering and it was on the river. I was going to ask for a room with a view, but before I even got to it, Pedro had taken care of it before he walked us through the self check-in kiosk. Thanks Pedro.
We stayed on the 15th floor and I loved the view. The room was as advertised, yes, on the small side with a queen bed, but I found it to be perfect for two. Quiet for sleeping and dark if you pulled the curtains closed. There is a 'guest closet' in the hall with extras like coffee, tea, blankets and pillows. The elevator could be slow at times, but not unbearable, there are a lot of floors for it to travel.More
