As an airport pub, this one is excellent. Service was almost perfect. The burgers were large and crispy at the edges juicy in the middle. Long day so I settled for a soft drink. It was never close to empty, even when I protested I had had enough. Sweet potato fries were as good as it gets. Nice surprise on a day that had few bright spots.

My partner and I both ordered the steak salad and it was pretty terrible. The lettuce was wilted and there was hardly any of the other four ingredients on the salad (steak, blue cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers). We complained after eating some of it and they took one of the 14 dollar salads off our bill. We never complain either.

i love brew pubs but this one is just so so. They were out of two of the beers that looked more interesting to me, and I had to ask to find out about their sampler. It wasn't even on the menu. I got the pork sandwich which was very messy but ok tasting. The mac and cheese was inedible, all fake cheese.

I hate eating fast food. I always try to schedule my layovers long enough to eat a "sit-down" meal. Goose Island does have a seating area, but it is more of a bar/sandwich counter than a sit-down place. The next closest sit-down place was at the opposite end of the concourse, so I ate here. The girl at the register told me to order from the bartender. The bartender insisted that I had to order from the girl at the register. The girl seemed as frustrated as I did, but she did take my order for a turkey club panini. Theoretically it was prepared fresh (it took long enough to be), but It was truly wretched. The ham and turkey were cheap deli cuts, the bread was soggy on the inside, and the avocado spread was a mysterious, flavorless, green goo. The best thing on the plate were the potato chips. I will NEVER eat here again. On my return flight I ate at the McDonalds right next door. Not great, but way better than Goose Island Pub, and less than half as much money too.
