We stayed here Monday Aug. 6- Aug. 8th. to attend the Coldplay concert. The hotel is cool and the building has a neat history. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband wanted to use one of the complimentary guitars but was disappointed that he only had one to choose from. The bell staff were very slow to bring it up and take it back. The only functional problems we had with the room was the bathroom faucet dripped constantly and the shower curtain was really dirty on the inside with brown and black mold. We ate breakfast and it tasted frozen and reheated. Wish there were memorabilia to see throughout the hotel. The views were great, the room itself was clean. The bed was uncomfortable and the street noise even from the 18th floor was very noticeable.
Here is a tip if you are going to the United Center for a large concert (we saw Coldplay) drive and park or hire a car service. The city buses were full and had huge lines waiting, no cabs. We walked with about 200 other people for an hour before we caught a cab.
