Great location with clean rooms and friendly staff. Easy to find a spot on the street side to park. It'd be much better if there can be more wifi hubs so that I don't have to walk out of my room to get connected. I will book again if I get a chance.

The hostel was very nice and clean. However, I did not get along with the people that worked there. The wifi does not work in the common area, so i skyped my friend at the front desk because thats the only place where it works well enough. The person working there told me this was not allowed and to get off of skype immediately, this was fine but the way he did it was very rude. The day I checked out it was 12pm and i had all checked out of my room, but I was eating a sandwich in the kitchen area, the person working came in and made me feel unwlecome telling me i had better get out soon before the next worker starts his shift. This was fine but again the workers aren't friendly and say these things in a very unwelcoming way. The hostel is boring and is not a good atmosphere for meeting people. Its a nice clean hostel but the people working there were knobs and made me feel unwelcome.

Went with the family, so had our own private room. Enjoyed the basic bagel, cereal breakfasts with lots of coffee- perfect start to our days there! Communal lounge very nice with a pool table to play with and large tables to socialise with the other guests. Very short walk from the station which made getting into the centre very easy and accessible. Plenty of cheap places to eat around the hostel (there's a good place even on the corner of the hostels' street!). We really enjoyed our stay and will definately be coming back to stay!would recommend to anyone after a basic, nice, clean, fantastic place to stay!

The staff is very hospitable and the cleanliness is very good especially for a low cost hotel. But the big problem we encounter is the isolation that is inexistant. You can ear everyone talking from outside or the rooms around you..
We where at the 3rd floor and because the noise of the floor cracking when someone was walking upstrair (all the night) we could'n sleep the first night. After that, we put cotton in the ears and it was a bit better. So if you plan to go there.. ask for the 4th floor.. It is too bad because this is the only problem... But a big one..

Room Tip: Higher floors to avoid the noise of the floor when somebody is walking upstair

I enjoyed every minutes of my stay at Urban Holiday Lofts. The hostel was really clean and the staff really helpful! Clearly, they like their city and are more than happy to provide tips on where to hang out and where to eat "local specialties". The neighborhood is lovely, especially if you are a fan of coffee, doughnuts and locally brewed beer!

The staff were fantastic - nothing was too hard, they recommended great places to eat, shop and drink. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was huge, clean & modern. Don't stay here if you don't like climbing stairs :) Loved staying here, would stay again. Slightly strange oddity with the heating/cooling of our room (room on top floor with private bathroom) - the heating is the same that controls the common room however the issue surrounds the fact that the room sizes are different - staff were great as they warned us in advance to let them know if too hot/cold and they would/did modify so absolutely no complaints here. Thanks for having us & would absolutely recommend.

Room Tip: See coment re heating and cooling and see if you can request another

We felt like we were in college again! The bunk beds and common rooms were great additions to the lofts. Our favorite book stores and restaurants were within walking distance too! Overall, an affordable way to hang out in Wicker Park for the night.

Room Tip: If you are traveling as a couple, just ask for a double bed or you will be sharing a twin or taking...
